Another idea I had was to make rope from string. Maybe in the big work bench or just the regular one. You could use the rope to "lasso" animals so you actually have an animal farm. Lets say you need to get up onto a hill. Your almost all the way up(say 5 blocks left or so) and there is no other blocks to climb, but there are tree leaves hanging over. No problem, you don't need to jump and place a block, that doesn't look natural. Instead you just pull out your handy dandy rope and it throw it to attach to the leaves. You then pull yourself up.
Another scenario, you have to cross a gorge and there is one block in the middle of the gorge. Its just high enough and just far enough for you to throw your rope across. The rope attaches to the block and it swings you over, though you are responsible for letting go of the rope.
However a rope attaching to a block just doesn't make sense so you go to the workbench and create a grapple

..rope would be.......... in grid spider=string
Maybe that shape in the workbench. The grapple attaches to blocks instead of just a rope which is more realistic.
2 ropes attahcedto a grapple LOOKS good but this can be pretty easy for me to infiltrate castles on multiplayer. also naybe the blocks we can hook have to be nothing behind it or on top of it so it can stick on.
Oh and it would have good phizicks(lol), so it would have to be dead on to attach to the block you want and it would be really hard to connect to the block with the grapple....

Oh and to my post I think the grapple should connect to the block but retrievable as a single item rope and all. I could not see how rope can be a seperate opject then the grapple and not work but ya i dont know

Then castle walls will have to be made higher
Used for climbing UP like mtns instead of jumping and placing blocks in singleplayer?
not neccesarily
