So my idea is simple, Toggle pvp. We need due to the new combat with swords. Players can't fight mods together because swords just hit the other players, so there would be a way to disable hitting other players. I like pvp. (I like to troll my friends) but I also like to work together to kill mobs and we can't do that if we are hitting other people with our sword swings.
Technically, you can already do this by putting both players on the same team and setting that team's friendly fire option to false. However, a gamerule to disable PVP globally would be useful. Also, maybe having something similar to Terraria's PVP system would be nice. Each player can enable or disable PVP for themselves, and only two players with PVP enabled can hurt each other.
How does making it harder to hit quickly make you MORE likely to hit your friend?
There is a sweep attack that will knock back nearby targets if the player who attacks is walking or standing still. It only damages the person it hits but it knocks nearby things backwards. Knocking back other players might set off their aim, causing them to hit each other I suppose.

What I mean is that the wide spread wing some times hit other players fight a mob.
