I'm well aware that the official Minecraft 1.9 is coming out tomorrow. However, in spite of the PC edition being the most up to date of all playable editions of Minecraft, there is a feature from the Pocket/Windows 10 Edition that I would love to have in the PC version: updated Cauldrons. You can put potions inside a cauldron, and dye water inside of it. Now, since the PC edition is being updated tomorrow, and doesn't currently have that feature, I'm worried they're not going to put it in. That said, I'm keeping my hopes high that they'll put it in rather soon. So, my question is:
For every large update (such as 1.6, 1.7, etc.), is it possible for things to be added in in smaller updates (like 1.9 to 1.9.1)? Or is what we currently have in the snapshots all that's going to be in the 1.9 update?
Hopefully these words make sense, and if anybody is able to answer this, thanks in advance.

That can happen, one time in the olden days of 1.4, There was an update called 1.4.6 or something like that and it added fireworks.
