Colored Bricks are types of brick that have been dyed, to create fantastic creations. Colored Bricks would come in the varieties that dyes do. Examples of what could be made with Colored Bricks are found in the text below!
HOW DO YOU MAKE COLORED BRICKS?
Colored Bricks can be made two ways. One way is to smelt stained clay in a furnace to make the individual blocks. Also, you can surround a piece of dye in 8 bricks to color them, the same way you do glass.
WHAT ARE THE USES OF COLORED BRICKS?
Ever see buildings in real life like churches, banks, schools and even your local McDonalds that are made of bricks that aren't only red? These things could be created with Colored Bricks. Also, castles in Minecraft have started to become kind of bland. Stone brick gets boring, but guess what else is brick and grey? Grey Colored Bricks and Light Grey Colored Bricks! You could start mixing up colors and blocks to make an original, majestic castle! Also, there could be different slabs and stairs for each Colored Brick. That'd add a nice touch.
WHAT DO COLORED BRICKS LOOK LIKE?
Colored Bricks look like a regular brick, except a duller variety of color of the dye, unlike their stained clay counterparts. This is because, well, do all bricks have a reddish tint? I don't think so.
WHY DO WE NEED COLORED BRICKS?
Colored Bricks would be great for builders, especially building adventure maps and towns. It would add some more beauty to Minecraft!
"Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time. Which dog wins? The one I feed the most."
Very interesting, another block texture to have with different coloured variants. I do see it working, and would make very interesting decorational blocks.

Thank you for the support! I think this idea can be very decorative, as Endergirl00 mentioned.

Support, regular bricks are one of the blocks I see used the least often. Brick houses should have charm, but for some reason it just doesn't quite work in Minecraft. Wouldn't hurt to change that, or at least try, by making Bricks more useful.
However, I don't think all bricks should be the same color as a dye. Neon green bricks would just be odd. They don't have to be equal to the Stained Clay equivalent, but they should be duller than dye / dyed wool.

No I disagree, that will make them boring. The whole point is if you want to make a neon brick house, you can. Stained clay's dullness makes it just ugly, that would ruin this suggestion.
The idea seems straightforward and useful. However, I would suggest having it craftable by, instead of smelting them, crafting Stained Clay in a 2x2 pattern to get 4 Brick Blocks. But even without the obtainment tweak, I like this idea.
I also support this, it would be nice if they all made wall variants too, like cobble wall only more colorful, as well as the normal brick variants as walls too.

Normal Bricks have a dullish, worn look to them. Simply change that red to another other colour, and it would have almost the same result, looking dullish and worn. I can agree Neon bricks would be a little bit too much.

I'm not supporting this because once mojang had an idea to make stained wood but then they realized how many things they would have to create. If you add this then there would be less time to do cooler stuff and if there are also slabs that would take a damned long time.

Psht, that was just Mojang being lazy.
From what I hear from mod makers, making blocks takes, like, 20 minutes, tops.
Coding a block that has no function but to be placed can't be that difficult. It's just taking the time to make all the variants. They could probably finish this in about a day.
I like this idea. Bricks have a nice texture but having them only exist in red can make it tough to incorporate them into builds sometimes. This suggestion allows for bricks to be much more useful and can give a cool touch to houses, castles, and whatever else people come up with. I feel like these bricks will be darker than wool but lighter than clay so it will really help to have that option just to add more creative potential for builds. Support.

Good idea, I will fix that.

Very good. I like the brick pattern, but the color makes it difficult to match with other things. This has my support.

Would the default color be the same as red stained bricks? Or would the red stained bricks be even more red?
Maybe colored wood too?
