I thiunjk it would be a very goo idea to have steel in minecraft. it would be the same rarity level as iron to find under ground as an ore andcan be smelted to make a sword shovle axe and hoe and armor.it would be stronger more protectant and more damage that iron but weaker than dimond.
Arrow:
I think we should have diffrent types of arrows with moree dammage the same crafting recipie but diffrent types of material like iron rather than flint and steel rather than iron and dimond ect..
Yea no. This is pretty vague, you didn't tell us the durability of the steel armor and tools, or how much damage the new arrows do.
And the steel stuff is unnecessary, there is little difference between it and iron, if you want something stronger but not as strong as diamond you can just enchant iron.
What exactly is the point of that? As said in 95% of similar threads, it just adds an in-between material just because.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
not to mention no stats are given, apart from iron<steel<diamond. That's not enough. We need numbers, durability, (and with 1.9 around the corner) cooldown.
Also, a bit off-topic, but steel isn't a natural metal. Steel is created when iron is molten and a different material is added to strengthen it. Stainless steel, for example, is 99% iron, and 1% carbon, which makes it a LOT stronger then pure iron.
Steel always contains carbon, and can contain multiple 'different materials'.
Anyway, no support. There is no need to add a tier above iron which is the same rarity as iron (which makes no sense).

This is just another gap-filler idea, just like the common bronze suggestion. Also, steel isn't a natural ore. Its made from iron, but follows a very delicate, complex process involving mile-high furnaces, various metal types and lots of carbon. And including the steel-making process would just be worse, as no one would go through that much effort when they could just look for diamonds to make tools better than steel.
I really think that iron ingots are the steel of minecraft, it isn't like certain gases wouldn't get trapped in the furnace during the cooking process.

1. This is vague.
2. This is a basic "Less X, More Y" suggestion. Those don't tend to do well.
3. Steel isn't an ore. In real life, steel is an alloy of iron and carbon.
As of now, no support.
I see no point to adding anything between iron and diamond.
P.S. steel and iron are already the same in MC. Flint&steel anyone?
