This is an extremely small suggestion. Basically the title explains it all.
I would love to have a top down view in Minecraft. I think it could create a new genre of top down adventure maps. Maybe zelda like adventure maps or top down shooter maps like Hotline Miami. Currently, there is no way to make a player interactive (NO ARMOR STANDS) top down map.
If you use head rotation, then the player would always face the ground thus making any melee fighting impossible.
So yeah, this is all I have to suggest. Please leave some feedback and don't be afraid to leave any flaws or suggestions.
This actually sounds pretty interesting. I'd recommend some sort of command to lock the camera view for maps that want only that view.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.

Maybe changing the camera rotation instead of the head?
Any examples?
