Have you been searching apples on oak trees, and thought, apples do not grow on oak trees, but in apple trees. Thinking about it, why not add trees that bear fruit? Not only apple trees, but some that would fit well in the game. Thus, we are diversifying the game, and a diverse game makes it more cool and fun to play, right? So here's the ideas:
Fruit trees would rather rare, they could be found in the Forest, Birch Forest, Beaches and sometimes on the Plains. There would be five types of trees:
- Apple Tree
(This is only an example to see that fruits are visible. Not necessarily the tree would look like)
It would be removed by the drop of apples Oak leaves, now having its own tree. The fruit would be visible. To make the removal of apples, would have to click with the right mouse button on the leave that contains the fruit. And to remove the saplings would have to break the leaves.
- Drops:
2-3 Saplings per tree
Apples vary according to the size of the tree
- Lemon Tree
Follow the same model and mechanics of Apple Trees
- Drops:

Lemons vary according to the size of the tree
- Orange Tree
Follow the same model and mechanics
- Drops:

- Coconut Tree

I... Actually support this. It sets itself apart by integrating it with existing mechanics like hunger. As for fruit trees bit, I believe it would make it easier to get food early on, especially if one were to spawn in a forest. It works for me.
honestly I do not normally support this kind of thing but you make it nice and simple, however I would like to say to just keep using bottles as who would just bring a glass cup with them on an adventure lol, other than that I support though this thread may get tagged as a wish list so that is just a warning.

Thirst also won't take up much of a space because fruits and veges. Fruit trees are a nice bit they would give a nice feel of nature and orchards would have visible fruit. But so you do not think the orange juice in a glass bottle could be mistaken for a potion of fire resistance? Let's imagine that a player is a pvp and takes an arrow with fire, at the time of "desperation" it can take orange juice instead of the potion
In general, the ideas themselves aren't too bad (Your take on thirst isn't THAT bad). But however, it might be considered a wishlist (But since it contains Orange and Lemon Juice, it might not be).

I only support lemons and oranges, although they should be in already-existing in-game trees.

Don't need the apple tree, I can just blow up an oak tree to get 2-3 apples. Also what about Cactus Juice? They have water in it too. And an effect to keep you not thirsty, something like Saturation. And what would happen to players living underground? Water becomes pretty rare

For a first suggestion, you did very well. While it is a well thought out and well made thread, I still have to say no support.
I myself find the hunger bar enough of a micromanagement as it is, and I am someone who loves the hunger bar.
I also think that having an additional bar would make the screen sort of clustered.
