Why would that be an issue? Make normal rails change directions when powered and special rails not change direction. Nothing breaks, these work, and there is no reason people can't use normal rails for T intersections anyways.
Thanks, I didn't understand the questions, but, do you support? I didn't know and whatnot

I actually support taking it one step further than this and Megabyte's Crossrail thread. I would want all the major rail junctions to be broken into their own blocks, meaning a block for normal rails, a block for corner rails, a block for T intersections, and a block for cross rails, all with their own special versions like Powered, Activator, Detector, etc.
The main reason people would not want this is because it could break existing builds, but it isn't like updates haven't broken things before like several BUDs, Cart Boosting, many Villager and mob grinder designs, Obsidian Generators, Infinite Lava and about a hundred other things. Plus you can mitigate the damage by adding some code that when it detects a block that would no longer exist (like a normal rail that curves from North to East) it automatically replaces it with the correct new block.

What's with the hates? Seriously grow up, it isn't misleading. The suggestion is exactly what the title says. Plus, this would help redstoners and such anyways. Support.
The title was changed to be less misleading, the title everyone was talking about was like... I don't exactly remember, but it didn't say rails in it.
