What about making that a block that can only be placed and removed by the placer? it would make multiplayer fortresses greif proof/strategically practical. (doors would have to be blown up etc. to get in, and if hunger is added, sieges could take place.)
And perhaps the mushrooms make poison arrows/antidotes. That would make killing mobs easy, but if you ingest an antidote, you can battle other players and not be killed by 2 arrows.
Personally, I think it should only dissolve when dropped in water more than 10 blocks deep. That way, it would be harder to destroy it accidentaly in the Nether.

We still run into problems with the block... because what if the grievers are the placers of the block!!! Then admin players can't remove it. OUCH!
But what if admin players had ultimate control over the block... then it would work.
I especially love your comment about poison arrows and antidotes!!! "A"-friggen-Plus
Once again... BRILLIANT CONCEPTS FROM MY COMMENTATORS.
If the portals are only place-able in the Overworld, then that removes my worry about a carriable portal. But I feel that over-world teleportation seems cheap. I don't know why, now that I think of it, that you shouldn't be able to. The thing I was suggesting was probably actually worse if you acquired a lot of it, just making a central Nether-teleport-hub.
Hmm, maybe I'm just thinking of some other game...

I see what you're saying... but I'm pretty sure that it would work... based upon the logic I wrote out.
The reason why I thought mini portals would be a good addition, is because you could get to places harder to reach this way. Places such as floating islands, airships, or cloud cities. This way, you wouldn't have to bother building a huge stack of blocks to get up to it, just to take the blocks to get down again... over and over. You'd only have to do that once... to place it. From then on, all you'd have to do is teleport back and forth. PIE!
Sorry if it seemed mean or anything, it's just the thought of "God Metals" that are unbreakable leaves the question "After I build a whole set of all of these tools, what do I do with the extra? Build MORE tools?" I could see if they were used to mine even stronger alloys it would be ideal (because anything can be mined with a Diamond Pick except for Bedrock) perhaps you could make a really useful alloy that only it could mine (such as Deiium or Bedrock, even though that would have game balance issues in the nether) or be able to get different ores from ores that are normally sitting around (mine Stone with a chance to get a Fossil something).

Sort of like that.
Good points. Well, I'm about to update the thread details... so be sure to check out the new and revised concepts on page one. Maybe you'll change your mind. We'll see.
Tungsten, but use it to make incandescent bulbs, not the new ones, but really old looking vaccum tube ones, they could be strung together and placed on walls for switchable lights and computer displays. Chaoite is a little random, maybe it could be something else with more relation to the idea of minecraft, although I do like it as a teleporter, maybe resetting spawn too? :smile.gif:

Yes... I do think incandescent bulbs are in order. I may add that. Take a look at the new thread details on page one... I changed a lot of stuff. Also, I did add another feature to the Charoite mineral. It's called a Sanctuary stone. Read up on it... tell me what you're thinkin'.
i like it beacuse you dont have to cook ham XD
on multiplayer you could be killing pigs and not having to cook the ham if ur on low health and got no furnace!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
my accounts include:club penguin, moshi monsters (dont play it) and minecraft (obuisly)
Hm... not sure. I haven't used the befriending feature of the forums yet. That's ok though... everyone is my "friend" here so... it doesn't matter either way... stated or unstated. Oh... and thanks for voting!!
I'm against the indestructible tools, but that's about it. Instead, make it as hard as diamond but faster mining, and we're in business (so to speak). For the rest, I think it's great and it should be in the game. now. NAOH!

Thanks for your support and comment. I still seem to like the idea of indistructable objects. I don't know why... I guess its because I mine and build a lot. I respect your opinion. You may after all be right, but all of this is only an idea anyway.
I'll make our next poll over whether the Tungsten should be indestructible or rather more powerful, 'cause you have a point, and people were never fond of my indistructable tools idea... its apparently a reoccurring theme.

...
That was a stupid idea on my part.

Perhaps you could use it to make a purple decoration block?
Ores in the Nether?
I think I will take this idea.
Play with it a bit in MCP and have fun.

But that's just me.
Great. I take that as a compliment. Thanks for commenting.

OH YEAH!!! ITS EPIC I KNOW. ITS SICK!
Dude, you should vote on the poll.

Um... kinda random question isn't it?
I don't use multiplayer often.
