Also, I got an idea!
Nether Wyvern
Will only appear in the Nether, hence the name. At first I was thinking "charizard" but this came to me instead. XD
Appearance: A dark red wyvern with purple inside wings. I dunno, red and purple just look nice together in my opinion.
Lair: A glowstone tower. At the top is a large platform made of obsidian with a ring of lava on the outer edge. I just typed what was running through my head, LOL.
Entrance: It's a statue made of obsidian until you hit it with any sword. Then the statue crumbles revealing the wyvern.
Attacks:
Fireball: Name says all. Shoots a fireball at you, deals two hearts of damage.
Tail Whip: Not an attack per say, boosts his speed to make him harder to hit. Spins around 360 degrees.
Claw swipe: Swipes with his claws. Deals half a heart of damage.
Explosion: Acts like a creeper explosion, but deals three hearts of damage and he doesn't die upon exploding. Very, very rare attack. More than likely, he'll only use this once in the fight, if at all.
Defeat: Once defeated, he'll lurch back on the edge of the platform, making a whimpering noise, and then he teeters and falls, screeching the whole way down.
Old Drop: Enchanter

where is Enchanter Stone, an idea of my own. Will post later.
Allows you to tame hostile mobs to help you. They get a slight blue tinge when tamed. Tool has same durability as diamond. (THIS DROP IDEA IS NOT BEING USED ANYMORE)
Current Drop: Random Netherraze tool (See "New Nether....Survive This")
Ancient Ghast
Spawn: The nether. Near the bottom area though since it's big.
Area/Lair: A strange area of cobblestone on the lava within the lower areas of the nether
Drop: Invisibility cloak/Flaming Pick axe
Appearance: Think of a ghast. Think of it 15x bigger (If anyone has played yoshi's island it should be something like big boo) and in black colours instead of white.
Entrance: You walk onto the platform of cobblestone (big enough for you to move around a bunch and for the Ancient Ghast to chase you around) and when you get to the middle, it will emerge from the lava in front of the platform.
Special: Invisibility for a few seconds (can't do anything while it's invisible though). It closes its eyes before it does this.
Attacks:
Fireball (enhanced): Like a normal ghast fireball, but it's blue and does more damage.
Summon: Summons 1-2 ghasts to help (it rarely attacks when one is summoned and they each are smaller versions of the boss (same colour scheme)
Fireball 2: Like the 1st one except it's green and can turn cobblestone into netherrack.
Rain of fire: Temporarily ascends and starts spitting out lots of normal ghast fireballs (about 3-5 per wave).
Drop: Invisibility cloak/Flaming pickaxe

Gives you invisibility for a few seconds. Has durability like most tools, but lasts for a long time (as long as diamond tools).

Allows you to turn netherrack into cobblestone and cobblestone into netherrack. Also functions like a gold pickaxe.
where = Lava bucket (I don't know if there can be a legitimate drop called fire) and =Netherrack
or something
same durability as an iron helmet, but when underwater, it loses durability instead of you losing oxygen. Alternatively, preferably in fact, use the ideas in the oceancraft thread. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=67089&hilit=oceancraft
My friend made a valid point about Cthulhu's drop. instead of just normally taking damage, the diving helmet should rust
I'd rather keep Minecraft the way it is right now: New items and mobs over time with nothing too complex. Just imagine how much code one boss would take.

Cool!! But i think this is gonna take a long time to do.
Well he does'nt need to make all the bosses. Just starting with one would be a big improvment to the game! I love playing minecraft but i wish there was some more complexity to the game.
I award you 200 and a :iapprove:. an idea for the pyromancer/cultist. maybe the cultist's portal should link to the pyromancer's castle (not inside, close to it).

Youth is not an excuse for failure; It is a reason to rise above the rest and excel to even greater heights A good server:
I like the idea of having more dungeons with specific enemies in them. I don't care for, neither dislike your list of bosses, it was kind of long...
I think instead of being able to craft new items, bosses should simply just drop new materials you can craft with.
Also, I like the boss compass idea, I could see myself just hunting down bosses.
If implemented each boss needs a (general) tower/dungeon/etc naturally (but randomly) built around them for sure.
Gem Scorpion
Spawn: Desert
Area/Lair: A large cave of mossy cobblestone in the desert.
Drop: Scorpion's Sting
Appearance: Large, black scorpion. He has gems covering his entire body.
Entrance: Drops of the ceiling of the cave
Special: Slow moving, but very resistant to damage.
Attacks:
Claw Grab: He grabs you in his claws, slowly crushing you.
Tail Slam: Slams his tail into the ground. If you don't dodge it, you will lose a good chunk of hp.
Paralyzing Venom: Shoots venom out of his tail, if it hits you get slowed down.
Scorpion's Sting:

The Scorpion's Sting is a melee weapon. It has a slightly longer reach then a sword, and has a special posion attack that slowly drains the enemy's life.
I haven't read through the entire thread (took me long enough to read the OP :biggrin.gif: )
I saw that someone said you wouldn't be able to fight any mobs after killing all the bosses.
My idea isn't a boss, but a way to summon bosses after they've been killed.
I think that if you performed some sort of ritual (Notch has said he wanted to implement ritualistic magic, iirc) and use some sort of power item (I'd imagine using the necromancer drop/an item you can craft after defeating the necromancer) as well as the unique that you can craft after defeating the boss. Well, don't think that sentence made any sense whatsoever...
But, you use the symbol of power (or another item) as well as the power-item from the boss you want to resurrect in some sort of ritual (I'd imagine using diamonds/other types of rarer material) and that'd "revive" the boss, and either giving them a chance to spawn in the world, or having them recreate their lair in the same place they once were.
I think this would have to be done in the Nether (possibly in the Pyromancer's castle/building? To add more challenge to doing this.)
My initial idea was to do this where the bosses spawned (top of the tower for the wyvern, etc.) but since I read through it, most of the buildings get destroyed.
If I didn't make sense in that post, pretty much just a ritual to resurrect the boss mobs using the symbol of power and a boss item.
Think this would be nice for SMP, as well, so multiple groups of people could go boss hunting.
If this doesn't make any sense to you (sometimes I write incomprehensibly) I'll re-write it, of course.
And, as I said, I haven't read through the entire thread, so I have no idea if this has been suggested.
Make it so you can see at night if you're in bat form. :smile.gif: Also, add a scepter that turns pigs into zombie pigmen that will atack whatever you attack! Requires diamonds and obsidian, as well as a golden sword.
Also, I got an idea!

I HOPE THAT NOTCH ADDS THEM!
There is no need for a plot line either. They just take their part of the world in the game and if you dont like them, go kill them.
Cant he just make them spawn the way that dungeons and ore spawns already. Just randomly. That wouldn´t be to hard right?

Lair: grave yard. With jacko lanterns.
Attacks.
Summon zombie: simons 4 zombies from graves
Punch. Punches
Death. Turns nearby plants evil
Drop.
Redirection stone
When you die you destroy it put you come back with all your gear
