This is just something I thought of while watching TheGameTheorists
You can find a book called "The Monsters Of Minecraft" either in a dungeon or sold by a librarian
Here's what the book contains so far:
The Creeper
The Creepers rose from what they used to call peat moss, exploding to spread their spores, and rising from the dark. Many know they explode, yet few know it's to spread their spores.
Enderman
They hate Endermites for turning their home to become what it is known as The End, their homeland used to bee like the Overworld, Resources everywhere, Grassy fields. They liked it, until the Endermites turned it into a small Island, barely having anything to use.
That's all I've thought about, you could suggest some lore, if you like.
Being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of. Nerds rule the world! Who invented the internet? Nerds. Who created personal computers and smart phones? Nerds. Who made every video game you've ever played and ever will? Still nerds. Who sent probes to distant planets? Nerds, nerds and more nerds! I'm a nerd and I'm proud.
Minecraft is a game with no story , no background , no anything ... And we are not going to turn a sandbox into an RPG ... so no support
I agree. Giving half support on this.....maybe a little bit more lore on the hostile mobs or something, but I like the openness of Minecraft. Adding too much lore would make it feel like a general RPG game. Pretty good suggestion though, I'd be curious just to see what other players come up with in terms of lore, even if it wasn't implemented.
Minecraft is an sandbox game with some survival aspect and adventuring aspect with their REAL means. Not an RPG with storyline (Even most RPG games having good level systems)
No. All of these lore/story suggestions never get any positive reception. Not everyone will like the stories and origins. Let each player fill in those blanks for themselves.
it already has some aspects of an rpg with the addition of xp and levels
Yeah, but you don't level up or use magical skills to shoot fireballs and conjure up rainstorms, the closest we have to magic is portals, potions and enchanting. It's not turn based either, and doesn't have monster levels.
Anyway, 0/10 because of the reasons everyone else mentioned.
I hate people who complain. I hate spiders. I hate people who own an Xbox One. I hate people who like sandbox games. I hate people who like first person shooters. I hate people who like explosions. I hate people who like video games. I hate people who are hateful. I hate people that don't like spam. I hate people who like cake. I hate people who type in proper grammar and spell words properly on the internet. I hate hypocrites.
This would have to be a mod (not a poupuler one at that) because your playing minecarft to play minecraft not to read a book. if it becomes anywhere close to a poupler mod maybe you could have something like "The scientists diary" found in dungeons and abandoned mineshafts. which has kinda been done.

Not to mention that RPG mods are everywhere.

Actually Minecraft is an RPG, lol.
But I think this should be posted in the discussion section, not suggestions.

My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
