The Prismarine Hydra is a new Mini-Boss which can be summoned, much like the Wither or mobs like the Iron Golems/ Snow Golem. It looks like a blue dragon with no wings, and 4 heads. It has 80 Hearts, and has a variety of attack patterns. Do note that taking 20 hearts from the Hydra will slice one of it's heads. This Boss does not pursue the player much like most mobs. It stays in one area. Also it is resistant to fire aspects/flame weapon.
Summoning
To summon the Prismarine Hydra you must kill the Elder Guardians in the Underwater Monument. Now they have a rare drop, to drop a new item called the Prismarine Horn. The Prismarine Horn is the key to summoning the Hydra. You can only summon him in a flat land. at least in a square radius of 10 blocks. But a larger space would be recommended. Once you use the horn, the horn will disappear unless you gain a new one.
Attack Patterns
This boss is like no other boss. It has 3 diferrent attack patterns.
Bite: This is the hydra's most common attack. It will bite you, and will leave it's head vulnerable (if you blocked the bite) for 3 seconds, allowing the player to make it's move. This will take 4 hearts of damage.
Aquatic Blasts: This attack will occur usually when you are way from the Hydra's bite radius. These are as fast as the ghasts balls, which are obviously easy to dodge. But be wary, for the Hydra attacks fast. It takes 3 hearts of Damage. (can break blocks)
Pounce: This attack is the Hydra's most Devistation attack. It will jump, and will buttslam the floor. If it's a direct hit it will take 7 hearts of damage, and will have a large knockback. If you are in it's damage radius, and nor directly hit by the slam in the floor, the player will only take 3 hearts of damage, and the knockback level isn't as supreme.
Drops
Prismarine Chunk (5x) Can be converted to 9 prismarine shards.
Hydra's horn (1-2) (rare) Will give the player an extra heart. but when death, it will be lost.
It's all well thought out and original. Do I support? Sure. I don't know about throwing another boss/mini-boss prismarine temple related, but... it's still good.
I'm also not fond of the fact that it is a second mini boss that comes from the Ocean Temple, and you actually have to kill the first mini boss to fight this one. But the actual boss is pretty good.
I had an idea though. Instead of the Aquatic Blast attack breaking blocks, what if it summoned a temporary water source block where it hit? The source block would appear, spread a little, and then disappear That would be less destructive to environments (excluding torches), and it would give an added challenge if it hit below your feet, as the water would slow you down and make you an easier target.

That isn't a bad idea. I'll probably update the thread when I have time. Right now I'm in my tablet lol.
Maybe I'll mix it with breaking the blocks too. I don't want people to camp in an area taking ranged damage on the hydra from afar.
Very well done. I would love to see this implemented. The only problem I have is that the Prismarine Horn would be a rare drop, from a boss monster, which can only be fought once per rarely generated structure. Instead, the horn should be a 100% drop, and should be reusable. My idea would be that you could bring a Guardian to the boss room, the one where the boss guardian once was. Then take that Gaurdian and right click on him with the horn, which would convert him to a hydra. You would then get the Hydra's Horn and a Depleted Prismarine Horn as a drop, and the Depleted Prismarine Horn would have to be reactivated by killing a few Guardians in the area before it can be reused to summon the Hyrda. Without a way to reuse the horn, it is the least renewable item in the game, and giving you an extra heart until death is not worth such a rare item. The ability to repeatedly farm the hydra without looking several temples to get one would balance this out.
I think the horn should be placeable, and you have to make some statue or another made from prismarine blocks, and then place the horn in a certain place.

The summoning method is terrible. We're supposed to find a rare drop from a mob that only spawns three times per ocean monument and never respawns? Why must we go through so much needless grinding?
The boss itself is pretty meh. Its damage is low except for a direct hit from the slamming attack, but it doesn't sound like it moves while it uses it, so you have to run right into it to take a significant amount of damage. Otherwise, the Hydra is rather much like a skeleton that has a melee attack and much more health. Pretty boring, to say the least.
The drops are lackluster, too. The Prismarine Chunk is useless; just make it drop 45 prismarine shards, it's the same number of shards overall but doesn't involve an otherwise-useless item. The Horn is okay--it'd be more OP if anything was challenging at that point of the game--but the fact that it's a rare drop from a mob that requires you to get a rare drop from rare mobs just to fight it is ridiculously annoying. And it'll break PvP even more than it's already broken thanks to requiring you to destroy enormous numbers of Elder Guardians in exchange for a massive (comparatively) health boost.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I like the idea of this. However, I feel should be a full boss. Don't Elder Guardians have 80.. err nvm, you said hearts, so that's 160 health. I was about to say. I'd say just give it more health and make it a full on boss to the Underwater Monument's Elder Guardian mini-bosses. Support.

"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.
