As most of you have known that Splash Potion of Leaping will be coming in v1.8, yet there are still a lot of unfinished potions (status effects which don't have their own brewing recipes for their own potions). I know that suggesting this idea might put an extra load onto the developers, but I hope this idea will get some opinions, especially for players who play on PVP servers.
Introducing... The Potion of Dispel. The term 'dispel' means to remove any status effects their a player has. I know this is stupid, because drinking milk has the EXACT effect, which players think that they can just save their bottles on better potions. The main reason I suggested this because the potion has to be used as a SPLASH potion, just like Poison or any debuffs.
Why Splash Potion of Dispel? Think about it when you're fighting an overpowered player with tons of potion effects, you just can't force him to drink milk-- He'll just cut off your head in a split second. With the potion, you'll be able to dispel his status effects, which weakens his ability to defeat you (unless, you're a defenseless person).
Even though I've said that it was meant to be used as an offensive potion, it can be used as a defensive potion too. While you're fighting together with your team, all of you got run down by tons of debuff potions. You can just throw the potion on the ground to save everyone, instead of urging everyone to drink milk for a few seconds (then realising that an arrow was coming for you).
I hope that everyone will take some time to think about this new potion, because I don't want anything like this to happen:
TOO OP.
If you guys agree with the idea, I'll might probably start to think about the recipe for the potion, so I'll be able to suggest a balanced idea for Mojang.
Thank you.

It is indeed expensive, that's why I need a lot of people to agree with the idea, then all of us can start to discuss about the recipe for this potion.

How would a splash potion be any more effective than milk?
I've already mentioned, you can't force an opponent who's tons of buffs to drink his milk to remove all his potion effects...
Besides, what if you have a team of 5 people who's struck down with Poison, Slowness, Weakening etc. and you have only a bucket of milk? That's only going to save one of you, but not the other 4.

Yes, I did read that part in your OP. But still this wouldn't be very useful. And you could just give buckets of milk to them.
I like the idea, but you didn't include how we would brew the potion. Until you tell us, I cannot give my full support.
Partial support.
It depends, because I have 2 ideas on the potions function:
1. If you want a separate function for the potions, that means we will have Potion Of Buff Dispel and Potion Of Debuff Dispel.
Potion Of Debuff Dispel: Awkward Potion + Bucket of Milk (you'll get back the bucket)
Potion Of Buff Dispel: Potion Of Debuff Dispel + Fermented Spider Eye
2. If you rather mixed the functions (removing both buffs and debuffs), you'll just need an Awkward Potion and a bucket of milk.
I know that using milk might be a really stupid idea, since you can just drink milk to remove potion effects instead. I hope that I'll try to research on a better recipe in the meantime.

I won't consider bringing 5 buckets of milk, because you might need to consider on your inventory, still. Besides, enemies who are smart enough will throw debuff splash potions at all of you again after they watch you drinking milk in front of them. In this case, if your team got hit by debuff splash potions for 5 times, that means you're going to waste 25 spaces of your inventory for 25 buckets of milk?
I honestly think this isn't worth the time and effort for Mojang to implement this or the player to brew this. First of all, those effects can't kill the other players (poison brings them down to half a heart but doesn't kill them). It just isn't worth your brewing time or inventory space to have these mostly useless potions.
No support. we allready have ridiculously overpowered potions that are so overpowered that i dont really want to use them in game because it make everything lose the fun of it, aka potion of strentgh.
Players dont need more potions to make things even easier

If the potion dispels BOTH buffs and debuffs, there will be no corrupted version (because it's already good and bad). However, if the potion dispels debuffs (a good potion to remove bad potion effects), the corrupted version dispels buffs (a bad potion to remove good potion effects).

It's just a potion. I know people seldom use potions due to their OP-ness, but since all potions are already so overpowered to any single player, this potion is a gamebreaker. A potion to balance all existing potions to prevent an unfair game. Because of it's ability to dispel everything, I hereby state once more, that the recipe for this potion will be VERY EXPENSIVE:

You consider just the pvp aspect of the game.
Potions are ridiculusly op against mobs as well.
It's not a bad idea and is not op, I mean, in PvP both sides can use it, you can't throw and attack at the same time so that means that you are vulnerable while using but less than a Bucket of Milk, you will most likely remove buffs from yourself and your partners if you are not careful, and in SSP it could be helpful agains Wither Skeletons and Cave Spiders if you use it right, but I don't see it being that good in SSP.

This is a dispel potion, ii wouldn't be very helpful against most of the mobs as only Witches use Good Potions and only a few mobs inflict status.
