A lot of possibilities for this feature - you could save a friend if they fell, you could quickly meet up with people, and even scare people.
The player pearls do not stack, but you can hold many at once.
No support
Why? Well, for example if a famous Minecrafter is on a server and this player renames his name and kills him and gets all his stuff.
Trollers would love that, but I'm not a troller.
Way too OP. I understand it would be useful, but it would just be too OP in PVP. I mean, for one, think of capture the flag. You could have two. One teleporting to your friend in your base, then one teleporting to an enemy guarding the other team's flag. Teleport, get the flag, then teleport back. Bam. You win.
I like the idea, though I agree it is a bit overpowered as is.
Perhaps it could be balanced by requiring a large number of levels to rename the Enderpearl? Like something in the range of 20-30.
Something being hard doesn't make it more balanced, because there will always be people who have a lot of stuff, whether it's items or experience. For a lot of people, it would make it hard to get. But hard doesn't always mean balanced, and for a lot of people, it may not be hard. Also, if it was made like this, only the people with a lot of experience, and so you have to be really good, to get this. Meaning that only the people who are really good, get this, making them better.

Point.
Okay, then how about having the player stricken with Nausea and Weakness status effects for 3-4 seconds after using a named Ender Pearl? This would give the enemy player time to react to their presence.

Maybe. But then there wouldn't necessarily be a point, because it would put the teleporter in danger. To be balanced, something needs to be good, bad, or at least equal to all involved.

There may not be a point in PVP, but of course that isn't the only thing people do in Minecraft.
This is actually pretty cleaver, however it would make raiding to easy. Think about it, man builds impenetrable base, guy teleports on top of him. Doesn't seem fair. No Support.
Reading it again i realized that he is suggesting that they teleport the person to you. It is still overpowered and I still dont support, but we should be talking about the right thing here
Hu, I guess you're right, in that case I still don't Support. That just seems more annoying and overpowered.
Yeah, he needs to elaborate that more so in the post, not just the in the tittle : p

Ever had something (or somebody) on your railroad that you did not want there?

It's a good idea, but could be used for griefing, trolling, etc.

"Help I'm falling!"
"Don't worry, I'll save you by... teleporting... to you..?"
The thing is, I know it isn't the only thing, but it's something to consider. If it was added, there would be a big point to this.

But with accepting it, it would be pretty much useless.

Yeah I'd Support that.
Also maybe if they both had "player perils" for each other, they could swap places?
It could be useful by calling in back up, and even useful in some puzzle map designs.
