Pickshovel: Pickaxe+Shovel. Just put any pickaxe and shovel in the crafting table(but must be same type).
Pickaxe Axe: Pickaxe+Axe. Same crafting for pickshovel except Pickaxe+Axe.
Pickhoe: Pickaxe+Hoe. Same crafting for pickshovel except Pickaxe+Hoe.
Shovaxe: Shovel+Axe: Same crafting for pickshovel except Shovel+Axe
Shoe: Get it? Shovel+Hoe. Same crafting for pickshovel except Shovel+Hoe
Axoe: Axe+Hoe. Same crafting for pickshovel except Axe+Hoe.
AND THE ULTIMATE MULTITOOL:
The Thing: Pickshovel+Pickaxe Axe+Pickhoe+Shovaxe+Shoe+Axoe(In any position)= The Thing

In theory this sounds like a cool and fun idea, but thinking about it makes me realize that this would render all tools completely useless. You would just craft the tools you need to make the multitool and never look back, thereby rendering the current list of tools utterly useless. What, then, would be the point of keeping those tools in the game when everybody would be using the multitools?
You could very well argue that it's all tier based, that everybody would have to use the basic tools to start, but in your suggestion's current form there are no limitations on what materials should be used to make these new tools and when. So from all of that comes the fact that, again, the current tool set would be useless if this were to be added.
Also, you should re-do the names of the tools. As it stands they lack originality. You should also re-think the way the tools are made and used, and rework what materials/milestones the player needs to get/reach in order to make these tools.
OP mainly everywhere. Instead of having to carry multiple tools and thus lose space in your inventory for ores, you get those "multi-tools" and easily carry 3-4 more stacks of cobblestone. Read the stickied topics of the Suggestions board and you will understand why you got no support.

OP, and sounds kind of stupid (no infraction please). Tools are singular and should not be combined.
Unless a spork... I'm sorry I had to. Anyway! about the suggestion: No Support, it's over powered and apparently unoriginal / stealing from what DarkStar634 said.
Pretty boring and uncreative. IMO it's not as OP as some people think, though; sure, you get extra inventory slots, but now every single one of your tools is running off the same durability bar. You trade your tool's durability for inventory slots and the (minor) ability to not give a fudge brownie about what tool you are using. On the other hand, you also only need to enchant one tool rather than several (though TBH i've never heard of a person enchanting axes and shovels), so it is kinda OP... just not completely game-breaking.

There is a great multi-tool, it's called your hand. Sacrifices being able to break everything for speed. It's the equivalent of your multi-tool only not extremely OP.

Maybe one, and just one, super tool that is super rare, only obtainable in dungeons and that mainly serve for adventure maps, perhaps. For example a tool in obsidian, not craftable, that lasts more than a diamond pickaxe, and able to handle all the enchantments, except them for fishing rod and bows of course. Yep, that is maybe a good idea, maybe not.
