An excellent creature design and an excellent minigame those two creatures present. is it a whisp or an angler?
The problem is that minecraft is in no good shape to add underwater mobs. We need more support for diving and underwater combat before underwater mobs especially hostile ones are implemented... but this point has nothing to do with the quality of your creature.
And what happens if you drain the water it was swimming in? does it flop around or die?
I would think that if it isn't in water, it puffs into smoke and is replaced with a fish item. That way a fishing rod could catch it and you could ACTUALLY FISH (instead of having random fish pop into existence randomly).

Please learn how to use google. My grandfather knows how to, I think you can too.
I really like this idea, and it'd work great if underwater caves were implemented.

"Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say that there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe." -Frank Zappa
I agree with the above person. I think it'd make sense if they are repelled by any kind of light above a certain level (the level wouldn't be very high).
As usual, great idea. The only problem is, we'd have to implement diving, bigger oceans, fish/sharks/coral/more sea life, underwater landforms, etc, before these things could actually be enjoyed.
Well its underwater, so it's not like it can catch on fire...
Which is why it would repel it. Possibly even blinding it if you suddenly place down something that produces light (as it lives in darkness, the sudden light would blind it as it's eyes try to adjust).

What program is it you're using to make these awesome graphics?
It's a bit like looking at a Picasso or a van Gogh and saying "wow, I wonder what kinda paints and brushes that guy used, I gotta get me some of those". Hint: it ain't the paints, and it ain't the program.
There's already a neutral sea mob by default, now there's possibly plans to mod in the Angler as the Hostile sea mob. All we need now is a tamable sea mob, either for carrying our crap or as a mount. I look forward to populating my Sanctuary with all the creatures Firehazurd provides us with. Watching the Tortoises frolicking around the shoreline always puts a smile on my face :smile.gif:

But all jokes aside, these are superb ideas!

and the angler seems like a very good idea too.
