You sir, are a hippocrit. Notch will not like this. This is MINEcraft. Not BODYcraft. You need to keep the oldie stuff of mineing and crafting. You won't be able to do this.
Um, he's actually referencing the nickname commonly given to s.

Way to throw insults when you face a valid counter arguement, and then misqoute something out of context. How am I the bad guy for suggesting this? "You won't be able to do this." Pfft. >.>
Yea, I've come to terms with the fact that this probably won't get it because of that. Doesn't mean you can threadshit because you dislike the theme of the suggestion.

that sounds a bit too gory and bloody for minecraft
It's not as bad as it could be. besides, its not like it couldn't be toned downa bit....
When I put it on get satisfaction, I'll just refer to the blood vial as dark essence, lose some extranious elements, and stuff.

I am learning java, so eventually I'll try to mod this. But, thats a ways away. Doesn't hurt to try to suggest it at get satisfaction, though.

nice i would enjoy being able to make a huge mob mining zombies XD so yeah i like the idea and i don't have any ideas on how to make it better although i'm not sure why blood golems are not maser tombs creatures... since they are the best attacking enemy and can be extremely aggressive and they are the biggest abomination of nature. just a thought.

The master's tome didn't exist when I first added blood golems. That's a good point/idea, though, they should be master's tome creatures. I'll get around to editing the picture later.

I dislike the idea of NECROMANCY to be added to minecraft, also nether portals are not dark magic, simply portals to another world. I am a christian believing necromancy is NOT okay, however we must live with the fact that a bad place exists, although with a "Hell" world, should add a "Heaven" world.

Yea, I believe the necromancy in real life is not okay either. I just think its fun in games. You ever play a fps, wet? Shooting a bunch of people is NOT okay, yet its fun, and widely accepted in video games. So why can't necromancing be?

uhh its the common nickname for creepers *cough* *cough* SeaNanners. *cough*
I like how there are easy to make, but weak undead, and somewhat difficult to make, but strong ones.
Thanks. Was goingfor that effect.
sounds & looks pretty well thought out. I wouldn't mind using this in my game either but like some posted already seems like it should be a tad "harder(?)" to create them maybe more [item] stacked in the slots requiring them...after all you are mucking about in the affairs of nature & that should never come cheaply.
as for the the storing in a chest function maybe have them drop like any other block (dirt/cobble/etc) w/ the limitations of a dropped item (despawn) & they don't stack (signs) that would help limit them as well for balance & portability.
I didn't see if anyone else asked this already but is there a limit to how many you can have total?

Its one of the poll sections. Im thinking it should be limited to how many tables you have, since its kind of easy to track and requires you to kill a skeleton to make.
The other options are as-is in the op, and using GreyAcumen's radius system (as seen in page 8).
I figure the undead are hard enough to make due to the fact that 90% of them can't go out into the sunlight. Since you have to constantly micromanage them to keep em out of the sunlight, or spend tons of gold on ghouls, I figure its fine how much they cost.
That, and a soul shard does require you to attack a skeleton with a particular weapon to be gotten.

Huh. Can you type that clearer, im not sure what you mean. Sorry :L

Ah, but the only issue with that is that it simply forces your creatures into being guards. Makes all but final tier monsters useless for any out-of-base locations. If a player gets his hands on his first zombie, what can he possibly do with it? He can't explore that cave thats over there, 20 meters away. He cant scout at night. They should all get energy from all tables, with tiers getting longer return time.
First of all, you're restricting the "dead" effect of the Necrotable too much. I was thinking more like a 50 block radius. Second of all, you can move the Table by placing a new one within range. allowing 1st and second tier minions to be moved by limited degrees. And placing a new table outside of the range can allow 3rd tier minions extra range.
Finally, it can still be set so that 1st - 3rd tier can still use you as sanctuary, but if they're past their time limit and wander outside of your immediate vicinity (or if you go off on your own without waiting for them, or fall suddenly down a pit and can't get back to them) then they'll begin to take damage, whereas the highest tier has its time limit completely reset just by being near you.

However I'd be careful about the idea of the table causing damage to plantlife, both grass, crops and trees, as you open up a lot of griefing options. (Worse so would be the Tome causing similar effects)
That could be toned down so that only grass and leaves will die, but things can still grow. Trees that grow in this area will form brown leaves that wither after a day.
I like this idea...maybe have a range of 10 or so while you're carrying 1 in your inv that way you can still keep your mini-army w/ you for relocation or as a personal guard of sorts (or your mining crew :wink.gif: )but it's limited in range to compensate for mobility.
As for the wilting plants idea I like it gives you a "corrupting influence" similar to this thread's idea for portal corruption: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=82721
w/ the grass dying in the immediate area of a placed tablet & hell mud could replace the dirt in the Area of Effect or just add a creeping vine across all the blocks within range regardless of type so as to avoid all the hassle of replacement of existing blocks w/ another type.
