Even doing this, tho Lava can spawn in the stone and burn down your mineshafts...I'd suggest using the preset with stone around the mineshafts, that should at least help contain the fires that will inevitably sprout up.
I call this one "DOWNWORLD". It is a world made up of six layers: Top (Overworld), Doom (my own creation, podzul+coal blocks+stone bricks for cool tunnels), Mushroom, Waterworld, Hell, and End. Each layer is separated by a layer of bedrock and 20 air blocks to make it a playable world layer. So much fun.Ten Strongholds, and massive villages. No mineshafts, though. I turned those off. They spawn in a weird way between the layers.
Beware. This takes a long while to load. I mean, it takes FOREVER. But it's really worth it. Look up a superflat preset generator, and you can make things like these for things like adventure maps and stuff.
Oh, and no high towers. The ground level is at 206 from all the layers. I'll add screenshots as soon as I can.
Second layer down. Consisting of a top layer of podzul, which does in fact spawn plants on it, and can be used to grow trees, and a layer of coal underneath, followed by a few layers of stone bricks. See that pool of water? These little lakes of water and lava spawn on all layers.
The Overworld layer:
Sorry, I'm out of order here. Here's the top layer with the usual Overworld plains, and hey, look! Villages!
Below the grass is dirt, followed by somewhere over 40 layers of stone and various naturally spawning ores and caves.
The Mushroom layer:
Third layer. In hindsight, I probably should have added mushrooms everywhere as a layer, to live up with the 'mushroom' name. Oh well. Mushrooms do spawn naturally on every level anyway. This one is special for the mycelium layer, followed by a few layers of dirt. (If you want, just alter the preset to add mushrooms down here.) Pools of water and lava are strangely rare on this level.
The Waterworld layer:
Fourth layer. Yep, you guessed it. Water. Not too deep, around 4 or 5 layers of water, followed by sand. The most basic layer. If you are doing survival, use this layer as your safehaven. It's dark in the Downworld, and everything spawns EVERYWHERE, except here. I hope you like to swim.
The Hell layer:
Fifth layer. Netherrack, lava, and mushrooms everywhere. Sorry, the glowstone is not naturally spawned, if you haven't figured that out. Here's a little warning on this layer:
Whatever you do, do NOT dig straight down. Underneath the 10 layers of Netherrack is a layer of LAVA. You will burn.
If you can get past the lava, you will find the sixth and final layer *drumroll please*:
The End layer:
Last layer. Sorry, no dragon here, just lots and lots of End stone and , uh, bats. Bats like to spawn at this level. In fact, if you're not careful, they'll spawn everywhere underground. Very annoying. Oh, and note in the background there. Even in the End, at the bottom of all things, you can still see the stars. Isn't that wonderful?
K. I took Ape's advice, and it was awesome. i started playing with tnt, and was having fun, when i had the idea to make a tnt based redstone system. I made a formation of blocks that would make the tnt all blow up at once, and just for fun, put some bunnies (14w27b), wolves, and ocelots in there. i then ignited the tnt, and my game crashed. guess i shouldn't blow up cute animals on a rainbow world!
Ive got an adventure one for you. Its called the apocalypse because the second you spawn into the world you have from between 5 seconds to 10 minutes before the world around you starts blowing up. The good this is that it doesnt all blow up at the same time leaving for great gameplay.
This is the ruins above ground. You must survive here with the limited resources you have. Upon explosion you may explore underneath the lava (if you dare). On this layer you will find supplies such as wood, coal, iron, dirt and stone.
2) The End:
An abandoned wastland with nothing present but a wide stretch of end stone. On this layer you may find supplies such as diamonds and endstone.
3) Nether Portals:
This is a wide strech of nether portals that will teleport you to the nether realm. Upon teleportation you have beaten the apocalypse and now must survive in the nether. On this layer you will find supplies that are found in the nether.
1) When you spawn head to a village to gather supplies. You will need them later on.
2) If you see an explosion ahead of you dont stand near the edge. The edge will always blow up plummeting you into lava.
3) Try and find a lake. The tnt around a lake will not blow up meaning you will be safe.
4) I know this is said a lot but NEVER DIG STRAIGHT DOWN.
5) When digging down be careful because when finding a layer of glass it means that you have reached the next layer meaning a huge drop. Always wear armor when entering the next layer.
I thought of this one for survival. 2;1x7,1x11,3x73,4x49,3x57,3x42,3x4,4x17:2,1x2;1;village,stronghold(chance=35 count=5 spread=3)
In less than a minecraft day in survival you have gone to the nether with enchanted diamond armor if you find a village with bookshelves,so pretty much. And you could get wood for your own house at any time! awesome right?
