Try the seed "tundra" (Ignore quotes)
This seed spawns you on the shore of a
small lake in a large forest. The trees are low,
so you'll have to break through leaves to get through.
If you look around, you'll notice a depression in the water
current. The current leads to an underwater cave.
When I went in, i fought 3 skeletons, a zombie, and
a creeper. There is iron and coal if you explore the cave a bit.
(Warning, you may have to block stack up, as I haven't found any
exits in the cave, excluding the water.
I found a new seed, and it takes place in the jungle. 'tarzan' is the seed, and it seems to look slightly like where tarzan lives (noticed because of the pond near starting point)
Also, there is 'notchworld' which is the new gimmeabreak
the village i destroyed because i made a hotel for the villagers but your spawn next to it just look around

1.2.3 seed -1408158089
wat i originally typed was boom boom boom bitter creek or something like that lots of small islands and no real main land almost like a nomadic sort of survival island no trees on the island you spawn on
my first real good seed
I was starting a new world because my old world was way too large (I explored something like a weeks travel both north AND south of my spawn point), and in the seed I'm pretty sure I typed this word for word:
"I want this world to have lots of villages and stuff, but I'll hope for the best..."
Well, not only did I spawn only 30 ft from a village, but there are villages a day's walk east and west of it! The second village is the prize one though, because it has 12 houses, 22 gardens, a watchtower, an iron golem, and about 20 villagers, including kids! It was also the first village I ever found that was NOT in a desert, though it closely boarders one.
And because I have yet to find a stand alone minecraft mapping program compatible with Minecraft 1.2.3, I have stitched together several in game maps to show their locations.
If the above seed doesn't work for you, I have the seed number from a screenshot of my F3 screen. Ignore the xyz co-ordinates, I was flying a random direction when I took the screenshot.
thats cool. btw congrats on the 3rd post bro :smile.gif:
This seed spawns you on random small islands in an ocean biome. (No animals) 1.1
