So I just started this seed in single player survival. It is as awesome as the hype! Anyone got any coordinates for a swamp? I need slimes. Also, anyone find any horses yet? Thanks
Download AMIDST and make a map like the one I did in post #2 in this topic.

If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
How different? Seems that it should have the same features as the PC version. I am still loving this world. I had to take a break from Minecraft PC for awhile cause my computer was just HORRIBLE with minecraft. Now I have a new nifty Laptop and the difference in Minecraft. SO MUCH better. I am at village -944,-720 and I am having a great time getting resources and building up the village and my home. There is a mineshaft nearby, lava pools, and within a days trek(Minecraft day) a stronghold. Slime chunks aren't too far away either. I need to visit the nether still and see if I can find the fortress. According to Amidst, there is supposedly a nether fortress not to far away.
If you are looking for a true survival world, where resources and natural loot are plenty with most biomes within a 5000 block radius, this is the one. I think I will be playing in this world, for quite awhile.
who has found the co-ordinates to a zombie spawner? if so, could you let me know! thanks!!
I have not located a Zombie spawner yet. The OP may have as he described coming across several spawners. I am at a point where I am gathering resources, mining, farming and building a base of operations, before I explore more. I was hoping that Forge and some mods would be ready by now so I could use them, to help my exploration but that is not to be yet. I have come across some horses, but I cannot remember the coordinates. Sorry I couldn't be help there. If I find them again, I will post approximately where they are at.
I just want to say thank you to the OP for posting this seed and for the other people who have contributed to the thread. My daughter and I have been playing this over LAN and LOVE it. Some of the savannah mtns are so amazing! We are playing straight survival (vanilla) and we have so many ores. The desert temples have provided us with so much horse stuff. We have 5 diamond horse armor!
anyone know the exact co-ordinates of the Ice Spikes biome? Thanks
There's a small one centered on 4608, -3072 and a much larger one directly east at 5900, -3072.

Amidst is not a mod to Minecraft. However, it does require a valid, working copy of Minecraft on your computer to work.
This is because Amidst uses a large part of the Java program code in the Minecraft .jar to do what it does.
Amidst takes a seed that you enter or the one stored in the level.dat file stored in the world save folder for a world you have already created and then, very quickly, produces a two dimensional map of the world that seed will produce.
The map will accurately show:
All biomes, rivers, and the three underground stronghold complexes that exist in all worlds.
It also, with reasonably good accuracy shows village, temple, witch hut, and nether fortress locations.
(The locations are accurate but there's about a 10-20% chance that the structures predicted won't be generated by Minecraft)
Amidst does this quickly by only using the first pass world generation code in the Minecraft jar that establishes the biome map and the first guess at surface structure locations.
Code much later in the world generator fills out this bare bones map with actual terrain Y values, and this is ONLY done when a player actually in the world gets within a certain distance of that location.
With Admidst you can look at a much larger area of a prospective world without actually creating it than you can if you DID create and travel around in it to cause the 3D data chunks to be generated.
Because of only using the first pass code, some prospective surface structure locations are chosen that are later found to be unsuitable for those structures due to terrain characteristics, and the later Minecraft code decides to not spawn those structures. Since the three strongholds are underground and not constrained by surface features, their locations are accurately predicted.
One other feature of Amidst is that, like Minecraft, it will generate a random world map if told to.
In Minecraft that is done by creating a world without entering a specific seed.
The same is true in Amidst but Ctrl-R will also do it with one key stroke.
This makes it quite easy to search through a lot of random seeds quickly if you are searching for a specific set of biome or surface structure criteria.
