What was once a beautiful and challenging seed now remains to be simply a download of an old map that no longer works. The world generation changes happen too quickly, and things are forced to change. Now what you'll find is simply a remnant of an old memory. Beside a mountain, you will find one house. With one villager. He now lives on his own, with nothing left but the memories of his old friends. This post will remain as a testament to him and his friends. For what once was. For auld lang syne.
GOAL 1) make a new world with this seed: Krosis (yes, I got it from Skyrim) Download the map.
2) find the village. There are saplings in the smith's chest.
3) create your tools (you can break wood from the shack, just make sure you fix it later)
4) protect the village (this should be on hard difficulty).
RULES
1) No mods.
2) You must at least keep the librarian (dressed in white) alive.
3) You cannot change difficulty to do a mob swipe.
4) You cannot block the doors once they enter at night.
5) You cannot make a ditch/wall to encase the village.
HARDCORE RULES
1) Follow the rules above lest instructed otherwise below.
2) You must play on Hardcore mode.
3) You are allowed only two logs from the cabin.
4) Your house - and every other house built in the area - must look similar to the village houses.
5) Herding the villagers is counted as cheating.
6) No beds.
This used to be a working seed on the old versions of Minecraft. I don't know which update screwed with the world creation, but it doesn't work anymore. This link is a download to the original world file from back then. It's the only way to use this world now.http://www.mediafire...1pmswk3en7aheh8
This is extremely fun! I'm up to my second night I've made some iron boots, no villagers have died! :biggrin.gif:
Ive got a huge forest now, I've found lots of coal so I dont have to kill much anymore and i'm level 13! I've build myself a little house at the end of the "street" as ive named it and the villagers like to take shelter in ther at night -.- but thank you for this as i have never had so much fun in minecraft before!
Wow, this is fun, i'll be writing my little log here.
Day One: Found the village. Went off into the jungle and got 30+ wood. Made stone tools, weapons, etc. Securely established a house, into the side of a tiny hill beside the library. Killed some pigs, got some pork. Looted the Smith's place, got iron pants, 5 saplings, and 1 loaf of bread. Planted the 5 saplings outside my house. Uh-oh, night approaches.
Night One: Zombies, spiders, and creepers! (oh my!) they're everywhere! Looted a iron sword off a zombie (oh yeah!) almost died, half a heart. (Yes, I switched the difficulty once, because I was on half a heart and two creepers walked inside a little defense post I was in and almost killed me.) It's day time now.
Day Two: Made a bow, and I have 5 arrows. Made some swords, killed pigs and cooked 11 pork chops, I'm ready for this next night. COME AT ME BRO.
Night Three: I died when morning was coming up. Argh, All my swords broke, didn't notice my health. kfjsdklfjasf.
im pretty sure the only thing that would attack the villagers are skeletons becuase there the only betraying mob
I have absoloutly no idea what you are on about? Betraying mob? attacking villagers? If you mean the only mob that attacks villagers are the zombies. and by betraying do you mean if a skeleton accidentaly hits another mob that is after you?
my log
day 1: stole wood from the cabins
night 1: it became night i ran into one of the cabins the zombies knocken down the door and killed me
retry:
day one: looked around for trees (didnt find any) whent into the forgers and looted the chest inside found 5 saplings some iron pants and 1 bread planted the saplings then went and stole the wood from the cabin made a home got comfy then night came the zombies knocked down my door and killed me (i think you see what the pattern here is)
retry:
day one: got fraps working (finally) and started work i looted the forgers chest stole wood from one of the cabins made a home planted the trees chopped down the tree that just grown pushed all the npc's into there houses
then night came i started running towards the first zombie spawning after killing 6 zombies and 3 skellintons and one creeper a spider jumped me whent back for revenge and killed 1 spider then got massicerd by skelintons and creepers after dieing 5 more time i RAGE QUIT
OK so, on my first try, they killed me on the first night!
I recommend some rules for people who want a real super challenge.
-no building dirt/ sand houses. Only wood and stone
-your houses must always have an opening, or have a wooden door. No blocking out enemies
-i recommend no looting villagers' houses. Only take from the chest, but you can't use the wood. Also no blocking in the villagers.
-i recommend you can only dig sand/ dirt with a shovel (except clay)
-i recommend once you get your first wood, you must make an axe. After, you can only gather wood with the axe.
-no sleeping through the night!
-also, play on hardcore! I'll try again with these settings, and record my progress!
EDIT: Ok, on my second try I survived the first night. The second night, I was forced back into the library, and eventually we got surrounded and died. I was level 8. I'll try to upload the video.
One mroe thing I figured out. It is crazy difficult, because there are no caves (12w07b problem). So less hostile mobs spawn underground; more above ground!
here is the log of the first three days (Long, but worth it)
Day 1: I arrived on the small island, and found myself in the midst of a herd of pigs. After killing the pigs, I headed onward, until I found a small village with a few sheep. After killing and skinning the sheep, I took some of the villages farm supplies, for my own personal use. I headed towards the town blacksmith, but noticed that a pig was following me. I grew afraid since I thought it was possessed or something, but then I remembered that they like to eat wheat, which I still hadn't returned to my bag. Satisfied, I killed the pig, and took its meat. I then entered the blacksmith's house. He was away, so I took all of his stuff, which included a few saplings, which I planted. I needed some burning material in order to cook all of the pork. So I took several logs off of neighboring houses and began burning them in my new furnaces (which used to be the blacksmiths) Night came on and I needed to prepare, so I crafted myself a sword and got ready. As soon as it got dark zombies swarmed the village. I secured my house (the blacksmiths old house) and went out to battle. I managed to survive the night.
Day 2: Two people died last night, the butcher and the blacksmith. The butcher was slain by zombies, but the blacksmith suffered a more unusual death. From the look of it, he was stabbed fourteen times with a wooden sword and then shoved into the furnace. We are all puzzled by this Im sure, since no monsters carrying swords entered the village last night. I searched for coal, but ended up finding iron, which I smelted with my last few logs. I discovered that the trees had grown, so I harvested them. I took all the resources I had found, and used them all on improvements to my house, and made it fully zombie-proof (with an iron door)
I slept through the night, and one villager died.
Day 3: I FINALLY FOUND COAL!!! I also found some iron, which I am going to use to give the library a zombie proof door. I also have quite a large patch of trees. Unfortunately, however, I have been forced to live off of wheat, since there are no more pigs on the island. I almost got suffocated in sandslide just moments ago, but luckily a villager came to my aid. Unfortunately however, he was stabbed by a very sharp sword-like stick exactly in the heart and his body was lost in the sand. that night, I was doing quite well until some form of green monstrousity blew up my house. I now shall move on to building a new one.
Day 4: When I woke up, my house was surrounded by creepers. While running backwards, I fell into the well, and the creepers followed, I was blown up and now sleep with the fishies.
Thanks SO MUCH for the feedback guys!
If you haven't noticed, this is my first post, so I'm very proud. You guys are great.
Keep your adventures coming.
ok... NOT EASY!!!! i thought it was gonna be easy, so found some iron and had some stone swords. but i got stuck inside of the black smith (i made some more doors) and the second i tryed to get out *BOOM* on then i was dead with a score of 133.
I had a good time defending the village, until i saw upon a hill a green, four legged creature... what the heeeeck!!!!!! the creepers now sneak up behind you, making no noise whatsoever, and blow you up! and apparently they now reduce you to 3 hearts per explosion... i hate creepers! rage:)
