Did you even read his post? He said he wants people to stop posting:
"I want a seed where I spawn near a *..." and such.
It has nothing to do with keeping spawns the same.
(*...ravine, mountain, island, etc)
From what I can read he wants people to stop posting "I want to spawn near a insertlandformhere"
because they have nothing to do with spawn rather land generation.
Where as seeds DO affect spawn, so by giving somebody a seed "gimmeabreak" for example it WILL give you an npc village.
So unless there is a hidden meaning, i'm correct. Feel free to clarify because that's what I understood.
This is like saying houses aren't entrance hallways.
Of course not, but they CONTAIN entrance hallways, which will always look the same and be in the same spot with a given house not to mention be where you enter the house from. And entrance hallway will be a factor in whether or not you want to live in a house.

That is true. The initial spawn point is a fixed location for a seed. It can be changed, but at world generation the spawn will also be the same every time now.

Actually seeds ARE spawns. You may test it out as you wish.
They work with world generation yes but spawn points are kept the same.
