I have always wanted to find a adventure map with a good shop in it without having to install mods, but couldn't find one, but after the snapshots, I thought about making one with the command block and I did, its not the greatest but i did give it a shot. Sorry about video quality, It didn't render right for some reason. I will possibly upload a better quality version tomorrow or something.
This is a great idea, mind actually posting what you did to make the command blocks give the stuff? It seems like i've got them to work a bit, but when you get close to the ammount required, it just takes the xp and doesnt give the item/block. Thanks

I timed it closely so the time that it gives your items to you, and takes the xp is only 1 game tick difference (1/10th of a second), First gives the items, then 1 tick later deducts xp. I posted a world download if you wanted to check it out yourself. If you want to know about a redstone tick click here.

Updated the world save, added a small section kinda showing you how it works, I'm not the greatest with explaining, I'll add some pictures tomorrow when i get up, and make a better quality video maybe. I also improved the design a tad bit. Well in the explaining section, the main structure hasn't been modified yet.
Stop right there.
1 game tick = 1/20th of a second.
1 redstone tick = 2 game ticks.
Lol didn't notice that, I kinda tricked myself there, Meant to say 1 redstone tick difference, 1/10th second. I don't see how i make these mistakes... lol
Edit: Also its been almost 2 months since that post, So technically, I did stop right there xD
The idea isn't exclusive, loads of people are making this.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe me and Jarswap was a few of
the first people to create one. I know some other people may have created
one, but I believe that ours was one of the first ones to remove the xp and
give the item quickly, and mine is simply just one that gives 4 items compaired
to the usual 1.
As you can see the time I created the thread was October 8th.
Hey I like this! You did a good job. I also designed something like this, except mine uses items rather than xp levels. I posted it on this forum if you want to take a look and tell me what you think. Click HERE
this won't work. if you have 5 levels and bought it, you would get the item but not lose xp.
I don't know about now, but when the video was made, It never had that issue, I need to work with a new better design, I know there are better ways of doing this now then there was at that time.

Nope, It seems like mine doesn't have that issue, I'm uploading a slightly updated version of this onto youtube, Also Making a Scoreboard Shop too, Going to be uploading that onto youtube sometime soon when I get a chance.
Edit:
As much as I like Scoreboard shops, I still like Experience Shops. Would like to see both of them implemented nicely into a adventuremap. lol
How to make it with spawneggs? I mean, if i write in:
For example:
383:301
it says: "383:301 is not an valid number"
Please help me out
Actually is go like this.
In a command block type /give <playername> 383 <amount> 50 - I can spawn a creeper with this.
Go to this link for a list of ids http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Spawn_egg
Basically the command is /give <PLAYERNAME> 383 <AMOUNT> <ENTITY ID>
I have problems
1.if a player has not enough xp still they can get item right?
2.PLAYERS JUST CHANGE COMMANDS 3.which i hate most ALL OF THIS PLS S\GIVE ME A SOLUTION @!#!@$!$@$@%@#%

I apologize about that, I'm not really used to uploading files for mac, don't really have many downloads
set up.

I made an earlier post about this. This arouses suspicion for me.
