Well I very much value your opinion draco. If you have any other critiques I would love to hear them. Perhaps I could add another "mode" that has more hints that give you some direction to make it easier?
The issue isn't so much that it's hard, but that it's obtuse. It's a Moon Logic Puzzle.
When you give people free rein, but no direction, it's really easy to have all of the materials available to get what they need, but not know what they need.
Case and point: I was trying not to use my sticks because I assumed I'd need to craft a pick, thus I wasn't going to use them (and my other two planks) making a hoe (pick I was told about, hoe wasn't).
Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
On my third attempt the tnt activated by the time I put the fish in the gold hole. (On my second one I threw the hoe instead of the fish x.x) I believe it is caused by the lava managing to shoot a lava blob out of the glass tube, probably in corner pointing towards the AI.
Hmmm. I'll try to fix that somehow. Perhaps adding more glass. Can lava blobs fit through corners?
From the poll it looks like the name might be changed to "Herobrine's Lab". If you don't like it cast your vote against it. If you have another idea check other and post your idea and I'll add it to the poll.

I'll add in your youtube channel in the next update which will occur at 500 downloads. The only reason I didn't put the dream state name in the poll was because only a small portion of the map has to do with it.
When I played a fourth time I found a secret room. :biggrin.gif: I also managed to escape in a very simple way at the end by punching out the piston closest to you at the end and removing the redstone dust that you can access then and finally taking the minecart.
I would also suggest that you connect the lever in the fake escape room to a memory cell so you can't simply switch it again to stop the lava from flowing down.
Wow, I never even thought of switching the lever off, lol. I'll do another round of updates this weekend as I got to 500 downloads!!! I hope to be adding some new puzzles and a shrine to mikeishardcore. I'll do some more bug fixes and might add some more story line. Thanks for all the downloads!
After tilling the first dirt block for the third time to get onto the glass roof, I heard an explosion and shrugged of off, then at the final stage I was confused for a second when the long corridor lead to a crater.. Apart from that it was a good map, some clever usage of game mechanics in there.
That's a common glitch that occurs when a lava blob sets fire to some tnt in the last room, I'll fix it this weekend.
Well, I played through it (amazing map by the way), and I got to the end and got blown up by the tnt. I spawned about 30 blocks from the puzzle cube thing, and thought "Surely thats not the intended ending..." so I watched the video. Turns out I was right. I don't know. It said the bed was missing/obstructed. I was on Minecraft 1.1. Still an amazing map though.

I wish I knew more about respawning habits. The ending works for the majority of the people but not for some. I need to do some more testing this weekend.
Mikeishardcore, you should try to find the secret room I added for you. Everyone, I plan on releasing v2.0 this weekend but I wanted to get some preliminary bugs out of the way. I think I fixed the random explosion issue and the end bed problem as well. When you start the map is should be the beginning of night so you have 10 minutes to get to the dream state bed. If you miss the time window you spc or worldedit to set it to night again. Also I modified the dream jump so you have to sleep in the bed to escape. I added a couple new hints and hopefully everything will be a bit better. Remember, I still need some ideas for new puzzles!
I would suggest adding a sponge at some point that you need to activate a BUD through a wall to get the flint and steel.
It also feels kinda harsh to have signs tell the player that he broke the rules in the secret rooms.

Rule 4 is the same as rule 2.
It gets a bit tedious to always have to run back to dirt block to get up to the jumping puzzle again. Perhaps add a counter and after 10 times keeps the gold block up all the time? Hmmm. Sounds interesting.
No hint suggesting what to throw in the gold box. Well it is a puzzle. Maybe I can add some phrase above it that hints about a fish.
It turned day just before I got to the bed. Perhaps make you start with 3 minutes before night? Probably a good idea.
You can pick the bed pack up again but it doesn't really accomplish anything. Do you mean the stupid missing iron block where you throw the bed? Yeah I need to fix that, lol.
The rapid pulser doesn't have a roof. It's been like that for a while. Every time I do bugfixes I just forget.
I spawned on the wrong side of the gold bed after I had killed Herobrine. Huh. I still need to do some more testing with that then.
Suggestions: Don't use one of the sticks to activate the furnace with the fish and rather save it for the arrows later. Also instead of giving the player limited attempts with the wooden hoe you could have the wooden hoe reveal a room that you would need to throw it down a pressure plate to open with a chest containing a diamond hoe perhaps? I like the idea. Perhaps it would give you another wooden hoe with infinite durability. That would confuse people.
You should make it so that a block comes up above the snowman so you can't fall down in the pit. I never really thought of that. I guess the pit is kinda dangerous.
Perhaps making it so pulling the Activate En-- lever also takes you to the end room after you died and perhaps a different ending than killing Herobrine, perhaps if you kill Herobrine you actually escape and if you don't you are transported to another chamber. Wow, you read my mind. After you escape the map won't be over. You still have to find and break out your son.
Thanks for all the feedback. I don't do this job often enough. It got tiresome to play through the whole thing every time I added something new.
I feel really bad about not doing more work on the map. I PROMISE I will work on it this month at least a little. I'll add in some more puzzles, maybe some more storyline and modify the secret room for mike. We're now up to 1000 downloads, I think after some more updates I'll move the map to the maps section.
