Hello everybody! I am trying to make a cool effect for my map. Basically, my goal is that when a button is clicked, a structure will slowly disintegrate, falling into the void.
I am unable to create a timed falling block corresponding to every block in the structure, as it would take an impossibly long time. Does anyone know a way that I can make the blocks turn into their corresponding falling block entity. I believe this link might help some of you, but I didn't really understand about SethBling's spawner filter.
Thanks everybody! I hope you can help me!

Hey guys, I wrote a Minecraft book called The Griefer Attack! Check it out!
You could summon an armorstand at every block, then detect a block underneath them, and if there is a block (say stone), a command block sequence will be powered; Falling sand will be spawned, and the block will be turned into air.
Yes, you still need to construct a sequence for every type of block (i.e. one for stone, one for glass) but not for every single block

I don't understand: why would I only need a command for every type of block? I assume that I am using execute with this.

When every block has got an armorstand, you do:
and then
Now a falling block will have appeared at every previous stone block, ask if you need more help
execute only works for entities you need to use execute detect or testforblock
