Previously, these commands worked in 1.11 and even the 1.12 snapshots, but no longer work! This breaks a project I was working on that I planned to be 1.12 compatible.
Upon further inspection, more commands may not work, such as nested executes don't work.

the /execute detect command no longer works.
One of the commands I used was: /execute @e[name=ItemReceive] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~ ~ air 0 kill @e[dx=0,type=!Player]
Another was: /execute @e[tag=Chest1] ~ ~ ~ execute @e[tag=EnderPearl1,dx=0] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ crafting_table 0 /kill @e[dx=0,c=2,type=Item]

There are several issues with /execute and target selectors right now. You simply just have to wait for them to be resolved in a new version.
