Hello there, I've just a quick question about thoses recipes, when I've the ingredients to make a vanillia recipe this one is unlocked by his own but when it's for a custom one there's no auto unlock process. Did someone know how to make that work, somewhere in the event stage?
I have moved this guide temporarily to Github (link) and will be updating it to 1.13 there in the coming weeks. I will eventually move it to a more permanent location.
This thread will no longer be updated, though feel free to continue asking questions.

See previous reply.
Has this been implemented yet?
"result": {
"item": "minecraft:spawn_egg",
"nbt": {
"EntityTag": {
"id": "Pig"
}
}
}

Yes and no, it's not possible for us to edit it without modifying the jar file yet.
It's not possible to specify nbt data (yet).
So thats why forge is moving to json for recipes...
cause minecraft made it easier
its possible, i do it in my mod with these code, or is forge the reason?

“it's not possible for us to edit it without modifying the jar file” mods modify the jar file.
Is there a way to send an item into the crafting grid, like how you get buckets back when you make cake?
I want to use the dragon egg to craft certain items, but I don't want it to consume the dragon egg when the player removes the crafted item.
Advancements.
How does one remove a vanilla recipe? Or replace it with something else?

very nice, just a heads up you need to add "minecraft:" before the type of crafting like this:
