Okay, this command block contraption I have tried to think of how it would work, but all has failed. Get ready, because this is REALLY confusing,
So, as some of you might know, I'm recreating Team Fortress 2 in Minecraft. Yay. Once I finish this contraption, I might release it to you guys!
Alright, lets get to work.
Here's a short brief of it: I'm making the Inventory system where you can switch the loadout of the classes. And I'm having trouble.
And here's the way more complicated version.
For each player that joins, they get their own special room where you get to select the loadout of the 9 classes. That room has a bunch of item frames. For each class, there must be an item frame for each slot. You can switch the items in the item frame to change the loadout. There's also another bunch of item frames. That set is basically your inventory.
I want to have a system that on a 1 of 200 chance of dying, you spawn in a special area where you get a new item. That item is placed in one of the item frames.
To go to this building, you press a button in the lobby and you go to your special building. If someone else presses it, they go to their special building.
When you select your class for the game to start, you get the items you placed in your inventory.
Now, if this were for singleplayer, this would be easy But this is supposed to be MULTIPLAYER COMPATIBLE. Oh no, things just got 700% harder.
Now, I'm sorry, but I have no tips for you guys. Hopefully you guys could figure this out with your buddy Google. Thanks, and lets see, uh, the next response will be in 2076... Ah.
I think you can break the blocks behind the item frame when the player gets teleported, then tp it to the player. Identify players and item by tagging them (scoreboard) when they are in the room (sth like /scoreboard players tag @e[room coords + radius] add Room1 ). The only thing I can't find a solution to is that the items won't be in the item frame when they return, but since there's no cloning entity, that is the best I could think of
