I've seen before in very well made maps in which the player is teleported very smoothly whether it be in credits, cutscenes, etc. I tried hooking up regular 1.9 command blocks together with repeaters and in each putting in /tp @a ~0.1 ~ ~to repeatedly teleport the player to one side pixel by pixel until the line of command blocks stopped. However, it was extremely choppy and was not at all as smooth as I had seen before. Anyone know how to do this?

I finally got how to teleport the player a lot more smoothly by putting in /tp @a ~0.1 ~ ~ in a repeating command block which was set to always active. If the player did not move its mouse or touch its keyboard then it worked perfectly. But if the player did move its mouse, their head was able to move around freely, which I changed by placing in /tp @a ~0.1 ~ ~ 180 0 in the command block, which made the player unable to change its rotation by moving its mouse. However, the player was also able to move around freely around when pressing the keys w, a, d, and s, which I managed to stop by giving the player slowness: /effect @a 2 1000000 200 true. But then the player was still able to jump around, and I was stumped... does anyone know how disable the player from jumping using command blocks??
Also LordAthena, you could try making an invisible ArmorStand or an AreaEffectCloud, which you teleport instead of the player. Then you teleport the player to the ArmorStand/EffectCloud. Since neither of those will be influenced by the player's movement, the player won't be able to escape. >:) But also be careful with that, maybe make a team called "admin" and make the teleport commands only affect players not in the admin team (@a[team=!admin]). Otherwise you might start it and then get stuck inside a teleporting ArmorStand forever. From experience, that's not fun!
Ikr? I've done that so many times when I teleported myself in a certain place for eternity but I always just use McEdit to delete the repeating command blocks that caused me to get stuck.
