how can I make it where I never take fall damage? I also don't want extreme protection on some armor.
I play Minecraft sometimes.
Resistance 5 (through effect @p 11 99999 4) blocks all damage
you can also invert the signal when there is NOT an air block below you and place down water i suppose
I'd recommend using jump boost 255; it negates all fall damage but no other types of damage. This of course depends on what you're trying to achieve.
/effect @p 8 1000000 255 true
I oringinally was going to suggest that, but you can still take fall damage (try tp @p ~ 512 ~)
I only need to fall like 30 blocks. But the problem with the other suggestion jump boost, if you get hurt by a natural object (fire, lightning, cacti, etc.) you get thrown up hundreds of blocks into the air!
Idk, maybe as soon as you get close to the ground make the person who is falling ride a mob that will die once they make contact with the ground?
How about placing water underneath them before they reach the ground then turn it back to air?
