this is amazing except that you've only fixed the mk7 plus elevator for minecraft 1.0.0 and i need a 1X1 elevator? can you show me how to fix the mk6??
edit- also i have a chalenge for you ... can you make a 1X1 elevator that comes up from under ground opens a secret hatch you come out? .... um imagine like a hungergames type elevator? :biggrin.gif:
Is there any way make a smaller 2x1 design? I love the design and concept of this elevator style for my LP series, however the design seems to take up a lot of resources and space and I'm not sure it would be practical, since I'll likely need about 4 or more separate elevators in my base.

I've been trying to install a copy of the MK7+ on the private SMP server I play on, but I've run into some difficulties. I've made the necessary 1.0 fix to the top, but otherwise, the version I made seems pretty much identical to the one in the download (it's shorter; I cut out some of the repeated middle slices, but that doesn't seem to be the issue).
I think it's probably due to lag. Does anyone have any solutions on how I might remedy this?
Yeah.. sadly it looks like the MK6 is "beyond economical repair"... ie. Properly busted by 1.0.0
"Luckily" I have the Mk8 ... which was almost completed unaffected by the changes.
and it's smaller ... 7x7 with No visible redstone ... while riding
but you can add a extra layer to the front to hide all the redstone (from the front)
I hope to get that finished over the holidays... so keep your eyes open towards the New Year.
so even though the mk6 is broken are you planning on making another 1X1 elevator because to be honest i liked the 1X1 better then the 2X1's trust me i know what you mean by its beyond repair because i tried and found out that its not worth the trouble! either way are you going to make another 1X1??

hi there not sure if your still active or not but i really like your work and have learned allot from it and i was just wondering if you have any working 1.2.3 models i have tried myself but couldn't get the down function to work
ive messed around with a few of them myself, the mk7 series still works somehow. ive read that something in the 1.2.3 update messed with the pistons and i think it messed with the pulse timings when you use a piston pulse limiter. im currently in the middle of reverse engineering the mk7.
Yeah, I tried to build one myself and the piston pulse limiters give you a 2 tick pulse instead of a 1 tick so the 'inch worm' pistons are on too long so they end up not moving because they are still extended. I'm trying to get the 10001010001 pulse to work but when I combine signals from two non-piston pulse limiters I get 10001110001.
Anyone know a decent dual edge pulse limiter that's just redstone?

I think I managed to make a signal using the piston pulse limiters. The signal I made is 1100011001100011 because I am finding that if try to put two pulses one tick apart it just merges in to a pulse for 3 ticks ever since the update. This causes the piston to fire twice rather than not react to the 3rd pulse after the short delay. The only way around this that i see right now is to make seperate signal paths for two 1000001's.
Any ideas on when "The Big One" Multi-Floor MF5 CK might actually be ready? I was hoping to use it in a building i'm making, and i'm not too great with redstone.
It's been a long time since Daftas has posted here. I'm currently wasting a LOT of time to and fro the drawing board on my own elevator and i'm frustrated enough to ask someone (anyone) for help. It's based on Mk5 tech. 10001010001 pulse sequence. Although i've seen the "powering every level" work on the mk5 in the demo world (current minecraft version 1.3.2) i cannot get it to work when i try it in my own world. It's not a copy/paste, it's built block by block. Powering the second level will cause a piston on the first level to activate. I've set up numerous little test pieces and it seems that an air block at level 2 (3rd block high) will pass a current down to a piston at level 1 (2nd block high) If there's a piston (or any other block) instead of an air block then the current will not pass down (as it shouldn't). It doesn't make any frickin sense AND IT'S DOING MY NUT IN!
Although i have seen it work in the demo world, can someone please tell me for sure whether "powering every other level" (as per Mk5) still a viable option?

Similarly, for some reason the elevator go up successfully ONLY IF I set the aforementioned repeaters to 3 tick delay
(The adaptor is inspired from the MK7 and the elevator in the youtube)
I'd like not just a suggestion on how to fix it, but an explanation of what's going on and how does the fix correct it

For up, it's just bizzare, the right half got stuck but the left half works perfectly. I have checked my wiring and did not find anything asymmetric, any explanation for that?
Also found that the stone button does not stay on long enough thus using my pulse generator, the pulse is being distorted to 1000101001 instead of 10001010001. A temporary workaround involve using a lever. However even with this, the asymmetric problem is still there
Anyone know of a really good multi-floor piston elevator that works in 1.4.7? I currently working on a build that has multiple floors and in need of an elevator.
Is there any chance we could get a video of you building one of your elevators? I'm looking at the MK7 specifically, but I'm having a hard time learning just exactly what you're doing. I think I understand most of the concepts you're using, but I'm a redstone noob, and I'm not sure how you've combined them all in the elevator.
Even if I could get some schematics floor by floor I think it would help a lot. I believe I understand what's going on in the middle, but I can't see/understand what is going on at the bottom.
