Tried searching this forum and youtube for a compact 5 second delay, but can't seem to find one. And I probably just failed at searching too. Any help would be awesome.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no other way.....you could use a 5 clock and attach it to a ring counter but that is dam huge. just go with 12 repeaters
You could have a minecart moving down a rail that is obstructed by some spiderweb, it will slow down the minecart significantly. Just put a detector rail at the bottom and your set! reset rail optional :tongue.gif:

Items in the world delete themselves after 5 minutes to stop them floating there lagging everything forever. Make a dispenser throw something onto a pressure plate and the output will be off, on for 5 minutes, and then off again. Then you just need a curcuit to make it do what you want.

I thought the exact same thing, but he wants a 5 SECOND delay hehe, we both lose :tongue.gif:

You sir, have helped me with my adventure map. 5 Credits to you!
Smallest I know of (the redstone under the floating block is important):
Monostable circuit with 7 repeaters. 6 are on max delay and the last on 1 tick, total of 25 ticks which is half the usual amount.
That does not work. From the picture, it appears that you made this in an old minecraft version. Your repeater goes into a dust which does not power the block next to it; redstone mechanics was changed (1.3 or 1.4 I believe?).

Well... Consider the fact that the post was made in 2011. Just sayin'.
