I once made a self-building castle with cobblestone generators! It had 3 block thick walls and 5 block thick towers. And on the top it was the typical castle pattern. I don't remember how long it took me but it was probably around 3 weeks or so.

i made a very long minecart track with 2 stations in the nethere; and eac station had a button that could summon the cart from the other station if it wasnt already at yours. same button to launch the cart from all stations.
Just finished this video and posted it. Its a Racetrack, 1-8 players, with sychronized, staggered starting blocks. An accurate stopwatch to track the winners time, automatic standings for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and a 'working' TV in the VIP room (lol)

a "lamp" that looks like a piston pushing a redstone block out of a power range when activated by a daylight sensor. It has four redstone lamps and all of them light up at the same time at night. right? Is that pro or just a stupid n00b contraption?
Yetter420 I cannot believe how awesome you are. I can barely build a lava pit trap. It really sucks because it's so easy to escape.
Arneeman, are you modding with item placers?
i actually just remembered an even more complicated thing i made. it was a system that sent items to the surface from deep in a mine. you put items in a chest; which were immidiately unloaded via hopper into an item dropper. when you pressed the send button; the dropper dropped all items into a small empty space in front of it. when it was done; a piston would push a block into the space which would then cause the items to move themselves upwards through all the blocks to the next open space above; which i made sure was a small water conveyor which moved the items into a hopper pipe leading back to my storage facility.
I think my most complicated thing I've made is a self buiding house. It takes up a 14x17 area and has 7 different circuits, and it took almost 4 hours.

Sorry for the double post. I don't know what happened.
This would probably be the most complex creation I have made... I am limited on what I can make as my computer is not good enough to run Minecraft. Therefore, I am stuck on Xbox 360 edition. (I made this over a year ago)
noone ever got close to my base

It was "Bigger on the inside" No matter where it was, had multiple places to land, and a fully customizable interior
three days. The work was basic, but tedious.

I recreated a mod (lucky blocks), which took about 2 days of playing.
