So i am creating this one map and i need the walls of the map to be invisable blocks but still not allow the player to walk through the walls i have seen this been done before but i do not know how to do this. Please Help if you can Thanks
A good way isn't fully invisible because it can only be 2 blocks high but here are the steps.
1. Make the place you want the walls 2 blocks high so on the third block up place a block.
2. Dig a hole on the ground and put fences in the holes.
3. Place carpet on the fences
4. Try it out!
It's not quite the same effect, but you could use command blocks to set up the general areas for the boundaries, and whenever they leave the map you teleport them back in.The problem is that you would either have to always have them teleport back to the center of the map, or have a lot of command blocks to teleport them in the correct direction.

I like to do redstone builds on my channel, and I can probably help you with your in game troubles.
You can use MCEdit to make floating ladders facing so that way the area you want the invisible wall at is the side of the ladder that is usually touching the block. They will be invisible and the players can't walk through them.

The problem with the truth, is that it never lies.
Watch SethBling's force fields with iron doors video. Basically, if you have a half of a door, it dosen't render. If you create a checkerboard pattern of the bottom half of the door you have a force field.

Uhh I highly do not recommend doing this. This will screw up other adjacent blocks' textures (from my knowledge of minecraft block rendering) and will not let light pass through. The blocks still have a hitbox anyways. Either way, you decide. I don't know why you wouldn't use the half-door method though. :/

I think the half doors thing doesn't work anymore. I tried it once, and while I did use the tops instead of the bottom of the doors, they kept rotating so that they only faced a certain direction, sometimes letting players walk through them. It didn't seem to matter what way the door was facing when I copied it, there were always 2 sides where you could walk through.

I tried it once, and while I did use the tops instead of the bottom of the doors, they kept rotating so that they only faced a certain direction, sometimes letting players walk through them. This is why you use MCEdit for rotating it,and go look at a doors hitbox for a second,it's not occupying the whole block.Of course you can go through two sides,technically.

Ah, that might have done it. Rather than placing all the doors for each side, I simple made 1 wall, and then used mcedit to rotate that wall to save time. I also did this quite a long time ago, so it's very possible that it didn't work in that specific game version.

i have seen a block that is completely invisible were you turn stone into block 36 but the only problem with it though is that when you jump into the block you start glitching out does anyone know of a block in vanilla minecraft that can act as a regular block but is completely invisable and can have blocks placed next to it?
By invisible, do you mean transparent? The texture pack method, as far as my experiences tell me, will make looking at the block not see the block, but it will look like you're in an x ray machine.
