Quote from Redstonecrafter2 easier way:
Quote from Honzis A button or a torch activates a piston two blocks below. It's been around for some time but it's not very well known though.
Quote from Redstonecrafter2 Also easy: -snip-
Quote from ulki99 But in the design in the first post it is possible to hide the wiring, the buttons being the only visible part.
Quote from TKGP You can do it like this too. It is a known method, but congrats on figuring it out for yourself. ^^ -snip-
Don't know what else to call it, or whether someone has created it prior.
yeah, but yours doesn't have four separate outputs, its one switch that activates 4 wires, the OP had 4 buttons that activated 4 individual outputs. all the buttons were just on one block
wahhh, why can't i be special
I highly doubt you've created a simpler way, but it would be nice if you had a better angle.
Exactly.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.
I figured that way as well, but I stuck with my current design because it is easier to display an output to whomever pressed the button.
i claim copyright for a combo lock using the 4 button 1 block mechanism
"Green Button" in Latin means cake.
