I recently started taking an interest in creating things in redstone after playing minecraft for quite sometime. I was reading about all of the different types of logic gates today, and came accross the rapid pulsar. I was able to use a lever, followed by a not gate and a redstone pulsar connected to a door to create an annoingly rapid door open/close at the push of a button. What I'm wondering is, if there is a way to conceal the redstone work under the ground, so it just looks like a normal door, untill I push the lever from a remote location. I messed around with it for a while, but was not able to figure it out. I didn't really think there was a solution for this, but thought I would see if someone more clever than I could come up with one.
Here's a simple one. All you need to do is power the blue block. I used a lever, but you can run a wire into it or whatever you want. This toggles the clock, which powers the block underneath the door by way of the wire on the red block. As long as you have a door frame and a floor it's completely hidden. There's a torch on the side of the blue block, in case you don't notice it.
So, ultimately the door is powered by the redstone wire on the top of that red block? Because I'm not having any luck getting an active piece of redstone wire to power a door placed above it. Sorry if my incompetence seems a little silly. Thanks so much for the help, by the way!
Here's a picture of what I'm working with so maybe you can better help me. The idea is that when the lever is flipped it will cause the door to open and close over and over again. This works fine I just lay it out flat on the ground, but I can't figure out how to conceal it underground.
You can only power a block from underneath with a redstone torch, which would burn out if you pulse it too fast; instead, you have to power it from the side, which the above design and my own do. In my case the repeater powers the red block, then the dust on top powers the sandstone supporting the door.
