Hans Lemurson's Thread of Links (replying to this thread is not necessary)
Herein lies a collection of all "Hans Lemurson" related resources. Threads I've started that showcase creations of mine, threads I'm heavily involved in, and my all-important Youtube Channel.
Threads:
-Hans Lemurson's Easy-to-Use Farm Design
An old thread from the locked SSP Alpha forum where I showed off a convenient design for a wheat farm I created. Later on in that thread comes the more famous "Spiral Farm" which later got showcased by Tyken132 and TheKalmier
Kalmier's video is here:
Multi-Function Logic Gate:http://www.minecraft...ion-logic-gate/
Here I show off a device I made that can perform multiple different logical functions. It's quite compact too...relatively speaking. It won't fit in your house, but a computer that used it might only occupy a SINGLE city block.
Hans Lemurson makes some RAM:http://www.minecraft...makes-some-ram/
I demonstrate a prototype of a RAM system with 2 half-byte registers. (Yes I know half a byte can be called a 'nibble'.)
Auto-Locomotive Pistons: http://www.minecraft...motive-pistons/
I'm at least a month too late to be the inventor of the idea, but what I lack in timeliness, I make up for in style.
Reversible Signal Generator: http://www.minecraft...gnal-generator/
A common question is how to generate a signal that goes AB-BA, for a "First ON, Last OFF" ordering. About 15% of all the threads in the Redstone forum seem to be about this.
Hans Lemurson Explains: The D Flip-Flop http://www.minecraft...he-d-flip-flop/
The principle and operation of a "D Flip-Flop" are mysterious to many. If this picture alone doesn't quench your burning desire for answers, try reading the thread.
Hans Lemurson's Minecraft in Minecraft http://www.minecraft...t-in-minecraft/
My current grandest achievement in Redstone: an 8x8 2d platformer game where you, a blinking pixel, can navigate the terrain and place/remove blocks to sculpt it to your fancy.
(the following topic may contain multiple entries) *Hans Lemurson is making a Computer* http://www.minecraft...ing-a-computer/
I'm working now on making a REAL computer, one that can actually run programs and such. Here's a video of the ALU: Program Counter Design:http://www.minecraft...rogram-counter/ Program Memory Proof-of-Concept CPU in action (manually operated)
--High Quality Components:
Here I show off good designs for individual components that should help people make the Machines that they wish with a minimum of hassle. Binary Counter (branch capable):http://www.minecraft...rogram-counter/
Counts upward in a Binary sequence, and can load a new value in on command. Perfect for Program-Counters in a computer. 2-wide per unit!
Compact Input Display:http://www.minecraft...-input-display/
An easy way of seeing the data you've entered into a machine. Deciphering lever positions isn't fun. 1 wide per unit!
Dual Read RAM:http://www.minecraft...-dual-read-ram/
A way of constructing a memory cell suitable for RAM which can have as many outputs as you want. Great for CPU registers! Also useful for extracting data for Display-screens without interrupting number-crunching. 4x4 footprint per cell.
2x2 Footprint RAM: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1236316-high-quality-components-2x2-ram-cell-bud-based/
The most compact RAM you can make without sacrificing access-speed. Ideally suited to the storage of large quantities of data, or for providing storage without taking up much space. Either way, it's 2x2x15 blocks and data is stored using the BUD technique which is surprisingly stable.
.... and More to come!!!
I will update this post as needed to accommodate my growing (but currently limited) awesomeness.

A piston train can be made so that it perpetually moves in a square. It would have to be 8 long (one normal and one sticky in each direction), with the back ones pushing. Like so:
for a clockwise moving train (upward for this leg):
>
<
/\
\/
<
>
\/
/\
Cobble is piston; mossy is sticky. Arrows show the direction it is pointing.
At the corners, the train would pick up an extra two pistons at the front and leave the last two in the train in their place. An example corner (top left, going clockwise):
> /\ \/
^
It would be a major pain to wire, and I don't see any major applications, except as a form of vertical item transport, so I'll leave it to someone else to make a prototype. Since you seem very good with redstone, maybe you could. :tongue.gif:
This thread is intended simply as a link repository. I request that any discussion be directed towards the topics which I link to in each area. I would be perfectly happy to have any of my threads bumped with new commentary. This compendium however has no intended discussion value.
As for appropriateness of this thread...I really have no idea where the proper place for it would be. Since most of my threads are Redstone-based, the Redstone Subforum would likely be the most appropriate place. This thread was made 5 weeks before that particular area was created though, which is why it's in "Beta - Survival Mode".

This topic is a good idea :wink.gif:
Im not sure if you copied it from hexagodrom (you know that guy)
But you and other people who have many many creations with redstone should have such page.
Im glad you made it :biggrin.gif:
Oh and I have always liked your creations and you were one of the people
who inspired me to learn redstone. I have gone as far as 8-bit ALU and RAM
but I havent really tried making CPU (but I have plans how I would make it)
Just added a "High Quality Components" subsection. Dang that first post is getting crowded!
