Ok guys so in 1.1 minecraft you have to make the redstone dust go INTO the piston. Well this pisses me off! I mean really! It ruins TONS of great designs! WHY MINECRAFT WHY?!

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
My biggest problem is that they made it so when you connect a repeater to a single piece of redstone instead of creating a + it now turns it into a straight line.
It ruined this elevator for me and I havent gone back to fix it.
ha, nice but I think he meet running the redstone right next the piston block on the same level as the piston block.
Did that ever work? I never remember that working. I always remember having to either run the redstone right into the piston block, or run it past the piston one block above.

That's because redstone wire didn't properly recognize a repeater as a redstone device, so you could run a line of dust perpendicular to the repeater's direction and it wouldn't connect at all which was worse than it is now, so sit down, shut up, and deal with it.

Lol **** you. You clearly didnt use redstone much cause I never had that problem. A repeater connected to a redstone line always worked for me. :biggrin.gif:

Umm, back to the OP, redstone never interacted with pistons when it ran right next to them. The way redstone works is that it powers a block, if the wire is going into the piston it's powering the piston block, and if the wire is running a block above the pistons it's powering the row of blocks which in turn power the piston blocks, but when it's running along side the pistons it's powering the blocks it's attached to, but not the blocks next to it. So your whole rage just doesn't make sense.

It looked wrong so we better decrease the functionality of redstone...that makes sense.
