The "force field" effect begins at about 20 minecarts. While this is occurring, detector rails in a 20x20 area centered on the chunk will be activated if there is an entity on them or a particle effect.
Powering a piston facing up while the force field is occurring will cause the minecarts to disappear and be permanently spread over the chunk. Boats and minecarts will float on them.
Right clicking within 3 blocks of the chunk causes teleportation to an undefined location. It would be interesting to test this on mutiplayer to see if stone pressure plates in the chunk stay down after they are pressed (assuming you somehow have infinite health).
I found this out a while ago (1.8) and just hoped that it would be patched in 1.0.0, but it obviously was not. I found this more annoying than anything since I was making a cart-based 8bit counter.
Just dont get excited about it. Something like this was discovered time again back with the C boosters and they fixeed it and they are going to do it again, and when they do fix its going to be flame wars

Im working on a decent strength wall that only affects the outside, but keeps the inside neutral, expect a video some time in the next week :tongue.gif:
I am currently working on designing a mob trap, and discovered the infinite minecart bug the same time as ZombieBrine did. ZombieBrine: In this post (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/824855-minecart-tp-glitch), I was not in any way trying to steal your ideas, just showing you an example of a working teleportation (more like a no-clip) using your method, as your teleportation idea only works in creative.

You may want to check out the map, I find the no-clip very interesting, and there are may potential uses for downward teleportation. I also made a more efficent refueling mechanism for the "engine" with the minecarts going around.

It was Connundrummer wit hthe c booster thing. Mojang is going to fix it ASAP i guess if they didnt fixed it on the last "prerelease"
Asap is going to take about 6 months :tongue.gif:

Id like to see that sounds like a good idea.
So minecarts fall through the ground in creative?

They fall through when off tracks, nothing changes from survival to creative.
alrighty
