I've seen a lot of requests for something similar to this so here:
I had an idea for a pseudo random output generator. Basically it is two pulse unreliable pulse generators (as seen in the pictures) hooked up to two piston T-Flip-Flop's. Both of these T-flip-flops connect to an AND gate. The output of the AND gate leads to another AND gate with the Test button acting as the second input. The output of the last gate goes to a simple latch that controls the redstone torch in the test room. The reset button (obviously) resets the latch. The result is a pseudo random contraption. The two T-flip-flops activate there and gate every 5 seconds or so. Because it is random sometimes it fire at 3 seconds, 4 seconds, 6 seconds, or even 7 seconds. The length of the pulse varies as well.
This device would could be used for many different purposes. The first purpose that comes to mind is a lottery of some sort.
Yes I know nothing in Minecraft can be truly random but this is the closest I can get. It has no pattern as far as I can tell. (It might though)
Explanation Shown above.

Omg i hate your signature... I went through it all... lol but also i was looking for a random output like multiple outputs but each time its random You know what i'm saying? Probably not im bad at explaining things...
And for fraps use half size just play in fullscreen. 30 fps and Low settings on minecraft :/ if its still not good try a different computer cause yours isnt ment to record then...
I'll try again with my comp then. I don't have fraps at this house so I have to wait until at least this evening. Also, you are bad at explaining things. Do you want for example 4 lines of redstone and when the device is triggered one of the 4 randomly lights up? If so I will look into it.
The flipflops are driven by the random pulse generators in the back so they're constantly changing state, because of the burnout of the pulsers the Flip-Flops toggle at completely unpredictable times. Yes, everytime the pulsers go on or off the Flip-Flops are toggled.
You can make smaller t flops, but i cant give you any links srry
I tried using a smaller T-Flip-Flop but because of the size it was actually slower and couldn't handle the rapid speed of the pulsers.
Video is now online. Its sound is taking a while to go through youtube. Note: The background music is not the same as the extra special downloadable version.
(lol) But how do you capture and maintain said pig, it must have a whole system just to do that. Nice job on it though, how does it detect what blocks are in the display position?

By adding more of the pulsers hooked to AND gates you can decrease the probability that the output will be on.

Due to some back-up error I might've lost the original save. For now I uploaded the result of my tutorial video for people to use.
Optionally you can add a pulse shortener to the output of the button to make it harder to get the torch lit up.
Feel free to ask questions and point out flaws. You may have to replace the redstone on top of the pulsers (but you shouldn't have to).
Replies and feedback are appreciated...
Only one response?
I expected more of you people!
I'll have the tutorial done in a week or so. For some reason I can't get fraps to record smoothly, any setting I should change to make it work better?

This is what I tried to use:
