I don't know where to put this thread so I put it here. (I didn't see anything under the support section for something relating to ingame command problems.)
Here's the deal. I am trying to do custom music for an adventure map I am making for my nieces to help them relearn PC version of Minecraft since they are so used to playing XBox. Well, certain areas, I wanted to play certain music and the only thing I can get the /playsound command to play is the records, which I already have custom music for. Those work. For some reason, I can't seem to get the /playsound to work for other sounds or music but just the records. The version I am working with is 1.8 and anyone who uses the "~ ~ ~", it doesn't work for 1.8 official release. I tried, it doesn't. At least for me, that is. Any suggestions or more simplistic tutorials for this? I tried looking up EVERYTHING, including tutorials in these forums, yet none seem to work. Managed to get the proper music playing for the menu and general, but not my selected custom music for /playsound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Can you show me the exact command you have used? either that you quickly suffer putting the atual coords in to the block or you could set the volune to 100 so you will hear it miles away.
I was doing the exact commands everything was telling me to use. But I messed around a bit and created a new sound pack for strictly the music I want to play as background music for a particular area.
EXAMPLE: /playsound FaronWoods @p x y z 15 1 1
Yeah....and no one state the ~ ~ ~ thing needed spaces to work. =.= But yeah. I figured it out after hours of messing around. Now I need to figure out why my villagers won't trade items with me. Got the named item to trade to show up, but not the purchase trade. *sigh*
Yeah. I got it to work. ^_^;; All that waiting for a reply, I decided to mess around more. Got it to work. I needed to make a new Folder for the music I wanted and add in the .JSON document with the info needed.
