I want to detect when a boss mob is killed. How can I test for an entity that has a space (or more) in its name?
testfor @e[name=Spider Queen]
and
testfor @e[name="Spider Queen"]
don't work. Is there a way to use this parameter with spaces in the name?
Instead, I'm giving the mob a UUID and testing for that, but I'm curious about using just the name.
TIA
I had trouble with something similar. Only problem is, I'm using scoreboard and multiple mobs I'm summoning with the same name, so I can't use UUIDs (As a reference, my mob summoning is a ongoing event rather than a one-time summoning, otherwise I could specify UUIDs). It hasn't been a huge issue because I just made the mobs have one-word names or used underscores, but I also experienced this.
Underscores only work if the named mob also has an underscore.
To OP, sorry I can't help you, I know this post is a bit redundant. But hey, a bump right?
Appreciate any insight on this, seems like their would be a fix.
