I'm making an adventure map, and I want to be able to fill a large section using the /fill command. I'm trying to fill it with spruce wood, but when I hover over the block, where it says the id for the fill command it just says planks. When I use planks in the command, it places oak wood planks. Is there any way to specify what types of planks I want? Thanks!

yes, I was having this same problem a while back. After you put the "planks" part in the command, you follow it with a number to specify what kind.

0 / Nothing = oak

1 = spruce

2 = birch

3 = jungle

4 = acacia

5 = dark oak

/fill coordinates coordinates planks 1 replace

this will fill the area selected with spruce wooden planks

if you want oak wood planks' then just do "planks" it works for me

im trying to do /fill cords cords minecraft:wood? planks? or oak_planks how do i write it

Just type planks then type the variant of the planks 1 2 3 etc.

Im making a mansion and I need to know how to apply an axis to the fill command so that the jungle logs face the right way. Because when I use this command:

/fill x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 minecraft:logs 3

It dosent face the right way.

Please help.

I believe block damage values go up to like 15. Try using higher damage values.
