The wither is too easy if you ask me. I beat it without losing 2 hearts and with no potions...
Blast Protection4 on a full diamond set and your good to go.
Understand that most people wouldn't go to such lengths to beat him for such a currently insignificant drop. It would be nice if the Wither's difficulty would scale with the game difficulty, though.
