Come on, guys. The emeralds aren't too rare. It's going to be balanced anyways, so who cares? It's not like you need 10 emeralds for one bread.
Emeralds are obviously intended to give you the "OH, ****, I found emerald!" - feeling, just like you did when you found your first diamond. It doesn't matter if it's rare or not. I think it's just cool.

Cigarettes are like squirrels. They're perfectly harmless until you put one in your mouth and light it on fire.
I'm not sure if this bug has already been fixed in a previous snapshot or even existed in the first place, but the in-game music plays in creative mode now; From what I believe, it did not do so in 1.2.5.
Also, torches can be placed on top of string, creating the illusion that they can float.
Did anyone else notice this? It's not a huge change, but now in exchange for your pickaxe/sword armor and a random number of emeralds, villagers(blacksmiths) will give enchanted versions of that item.
Enchanting has a max level of 30 now, and the bottom slot is always at level 30. Best change ever!
That's not better... I enchanted a sword got stuck with the useless bane of arthropods... at least enchanting a level 50 sword would ALWAYS give you sharpness over bane or smite. The rest of the enchantment system needs to be updated so the higher stuff are more likely at 30 now that there is no 50

But it's so easy to get 30 level now.
I mean I needed just a few monster to go from level 25 to 30.
Possible bug(or collision with a previous world), a desert pyramid in a jungle biome(almost completely buried). Also, unsure if it matters or not, but the following seed is on a large biomes world type. There was also a pyramid in a nearby desert that was mostly buried; only access was the top and the two pillars(aside from breaking in) unsure if it is a bug or not.
Since everyone listed everything major, here's a minor fix update: The block behind the stair in a desert pyramid is now a Sandstone block, and not a step like it use to be.
Anyone else noticed that you can now place 'upside down' slabs easier by aiming at the top half of a block? You no longer have to place a block above then place your slab under it

Yes but a wasted enchantment is a wasted enchantment, when you get to toss the bane of arthropods sword you are wasting all the levels and the diamonds used to make the sword. That was one thing you never had to worry about enchanting a level 50 diamond sword. I always ended up with at least sharpness 4.

I've had countless athropods or knockbacks from level 50 enchants ._.
Is that me or newest update will be the best update of history of minecraft?
So much usefull and creative stuff! Currency! Villagers do something! Mobs are stronger! Let's make a party or something!
All that's missing is an interesting new mob. But I agree, I think 1.3 will be epic, nay, Legendary!
Although it's "all good" I do feel that the enchantment system has been thrown off by being able to get so much experience from mining.
And villages seem supa-dupa rare to me - I have walked all around 5000 blocks, no village. Started a creative game and flew around for ages - finally - found a small one. If you find a village, I suggest you stop and stay a while.
The villager buildings seems better constructed too. No glitchy buildings, and they have stone fill under them so they are not floating.
Framerates seem good in this version too. I tried to take a screenshot and got a memory error, might have been a fluke. I am seeing quite a few chunks loading though, and my PC is fairly beasty.

The purple dude does that too.
And pigs

Yay.
I am having a hell of a time finding a village though - anyone else found one with this version?? Desert or normal?

Anyone find anything related to rain?
*Let's start a petition!!*
(Joke)
Cocoa bean plants, they were in a previous snapshot.
