Simple enough question, How many of yeh like glowing cocoa beans?
Me personally, I feel bioluminescent plants that grow out of the sides of giant trees is something that adds abit more life to jungles.
Hell, I think by minecraft logic it's perfect!
I mean... We got parasitic mushrooms that control cows and plant monsters that naturally produce nitroglycerine/gunpowder, So why can't cocoa plants glow in the dark?
They really does make Jungle biomes look pretty at night. The cocoa plants remind me of fireflies, in a way, floating in the darkness and adding a bit of life to collection of trees and vines.
I don't know, I'm kinda torn. On the one hand, I sorta like them, on the other hand, I'm almost certain it will be fixed and don't want to get attached.
What Gerbil said, except less mean. They aren't glowing at all in my game, and I suspect you all are either mistaken or experiencing a bug if they glow for you.
No. I would understand if it was a mushroom or something, but cocoa beans should stay non-luminescent and glowing fungi/plants to be added as well. That way every one is happy.
They do glow, but it's not easy to see outside. This is because the moonlight is level 4 brightness and the coca glows at level 2 brightness. If you build a roof over the forest or place coca beans on jungle logs indoors it's much more noticeable.
I really like it actually, I really hope they don't remove it in the next snapshot. I think they should actually make it brighter (maybe it could have one more light level that redstone).
it doesnt glow it seems. if there is any small amount of light it makes the pod appear to glow. i just watched some grow inside a pitch black sealed cave and there was no light
