The "stuck keys" problem is common in any game that gets bad framerate. Bad framerate is caused by a bad computer. Therefore, stuck keys = bad computer/
We can't all afford a brand new gaming PC every time we run into an issue.
This issue needs re-addressing. I'm suddenly having very bad sticky key problems. This has happened across TWO different machines, under two different operating systems: Ubuntu 13 and Win 7. One machine was a lower end machine, but could run minecraft okay with optimine and optifine, prior to the 1.5 update. After the 1.5 update, keys began to stick. The Win 7 machine is a gaming laptop, with a video card and processor that are far beyond what is required of minecraft. I can run on the far distances with a smooth FPS. It's not a performance thing.
Both times, on both machines, I updated both java and the lwjgl. Neither one works as a sticky key solution. Both continue to exhibit the sticky key behavior. Neither one is more or less frequent; both of them stick the keys quite frequently. Asking around a few multiplayer servers revealed that a few people were having this problem more recently, too.
I strongly believe needs to be addressed as a Minecraft specific problem again, as of the most recent update. Or at least it needs to be addressed with the assumption that updating the things that run minecraft is not going to solve the problem.
Im not talking about Shift 5 times one, I mean the one where you press a button and it acts like it "sticks" when it physically isnt.
Oh that happens to me sometimes. Just tap on the key again to fix it. I'm usually holding shift near lava so it dosen't do that to me often. But I think it's a windows feature because i've had it happen on other games before.

I play Minecraft! I upload maps and love making redstone contraptions.
This bug is not from Minecraft but a bug or rather limitation in the keyboard controller.
If 3 key at once are pressed and 2 are from the same zone, one of the 2 from the same zone may stay activated.
You can try to remap you're key to different ones, different combo will work better for different keyboard as they are mapped differently internally.
As far as i remember reading about this problem no keyboard were bug free of this limitation, but some are mapped in way that these sticky keys have less chance to happen to combo that the vast majority of people may use,but it's not really fixing the problem, just moving it elsewhere on the keyboard.
