Detail: Ever since 1.8 hostile mob spawning has been very unreliable. If I stay in the same chunk zone for more than 2 days or so hostile mobs just stop spawning. Mob spawners work, but not natural spawns. I can walk around at night unhindered. When I leave the chunk area, there is a chance that mob spawns just go haywire. Most mob spawning parameters are ignored. Mobs spawn at ANY distance from me, resulting in instant creeper-bombs. This only happens about 1/10 times though. The same with the nether. I don't think that this will ever get patched, though, because it only happens to a handful of people I've found online.

Detail: Every time I have tried to force update it freezes at a random % under 30. Has happened since 1.8.
Bug name: Text on "some" signs disappears Version: 1.3.1 pre Details: When returning to vanilla SMP world, some signs still have their text, but some have become blank. Have not figured out conditions that cause the blank signs. It is not orientation, because sometimes 2 signs within 10 blocks of each other facing same direction, one will still have text, and one will end up blank. Not sure if that will adversely affect certain types of protection mods that rely on signs (Deadbolt, etc.) if it still happens in release.
I also had a rendering glitch when returning to same, where some glass pane windows had become incomplete (some half panes at edge) and mostly black face and some nearby black blocks on ground of log cabin with horizontal logs. Placing 1 torch apparently did a block update that cleared that all up back to normal in and around the log cabin (the sign on log cabin never lost its text). However, placing torches near signs that ended up blank does not fix them.
In one case I destroyed a blank sign and moved it one block over, but when I returned later, that sign had also become blank.
