This was a brilliant update. Improved enemy AI, redstone lamps, jungles, all really good additions. Now that villages have defensive mobs that drop iron, and respawn immediately providing there are enough villagers, coupled with all the wheat fields and smithies make villages a valuable place to find. If you can deal with the zombie invasions.
Also, cute as they may be, ocelots/cats are pretty useless. Just fun to show off as proof you managed to catch one. More trouble then they're worth, if you ask me.
Besides that, I looked at the changelog, and noticed Herobrine has been removed for the third, no, FIFTH time. XD
I have discovered an amazing 1.2 seed for any avid Minecraft player. This cool seed spawns you in a small water cave with vines on the wall. I saw that there was a dirt patch and started to dig upwards from that point, you do not need a pickaxe fortunately. I came out looking at the biggest tree ever. It was in a jungle biome! I was very excited because that means a whole lot of wood for starting, and a good house away from the ground. Anyway I thought that I had better share with everyone so here it is: A long time, spelled exactly like that, I hope you guys have fun!
I love everything about 1.2 I also noticed that baby animals can naturally spawn now. I was wandering around in a new part of my survival world and came across a baby chicken! I didn't know where it came from so I looked around for more chickens and I saw another chick with some grown chickens, I also saw a piglet with a grown pig.
This is from my own opinion you can like it or not, I basically don't like this update here are my reasons
It was rushed to release 'Today'
When they released it, missing few trees and other Objects *even though they fixed it*
Some of the Mods Mojang put in the game were Coded in wrong.
Now my computer may not be the best 'Laptop' but i could run all versions of minecraft Pretty well could record with no lag atleast not on my side, but now its Extremely laggy ik the increase in height made More Things to render, My vote is on a New generation/Chunk loading System which is heavily been requested by the community
What i do like about it is
Finally a mob that can make a creeper **** its pants
I can Tame puppy's ^.^
I like that now if and when i make a Adventure map i can shoot a egg out of a Dispenser it Spawn the mob
Larger Map Height
Cats you cant have a game that has Dogs without Cats
Smarter Mobs 'Now zombies can Actually stand a chance against me, And do get stuck on corners, and basically not stand like a retard while the sun is burning them up '
Overall This is a great idea and epic update, But It was rushed to fast Please Tell me if this was a Correct Statement on this update
P.S - This is my first Topic Review/ Thoughts on a update ;P
I like a lot of the changes but as someone stated before I wish ocelets kept the texture.
I also have a major problem with hiding the seed # in smp, I make a large amount of my profits on iconomy servers from using online tools ( which require said #) to find slime spawning chunks, and selling slime balls or the actual spawning chunk.
I think it's a great advancement towards Minecraft itself with the Jungle Biome and also to people who have complained about Minecraft being too easy, even for Hard mode ( New Mob AI, Zombies breaking doors down). There are also some great additions ( Redstone Lamps)
Downgraded back to 1.1 after the update left our pre-1.0 world in a kind of stasis lock (block ticks no longer functioned). Coupled with our Nether (SMP server) being reset it had to be done. Could be CraftBukkit. Would be great with a brand new map I guess.
Mob using cloud cover to prevent being burned should not have been a feature as it gives the impression that, you know, they simply never burn up during the day. I had to read the forums to figure out why none of our undead mob were burning.
Oh no... It's a lot of bugs. BUUUUGS!!! I have all of 1.2.3 features in 1.1 (exept 256 blocks height) with mods and it is not so buggy... Smarter zombies??? Zombies have no brains, or rotten maybe. Why they must be smarter?
