Each Minecart variant (Chest/Hopper/TNT) drops itself as a single item when broken, instead of splitting into two items (such as Chest and Minecart)" how can we split them if we don't want a chest minecart anymore, for exemple?
You could add a custom recipe which lets you uncraft them (maybe, but since you get two output items you'd probably have to use some command block/datapack magic, not just a crafting grid), otherwise, this is just one more of countless pointless changes made by Mojang whcih killed off any hope of me me ever playing on newer versions (by which I mean after 1.6.4, not that I mind at all as I've developed my own alternative timeline of the game - there are even such "mods" based on Beta, Alpha and even InfDev versions) - why should I have to craft minecarts instead of just taking them from mineshafts? Next I suppose they will make it impossible to just pick up rails (I'm proud of the fact that I've made a 20+ km rail system in my first world without ever crafting rails (or minecarts); in my modded worlds I can even solely rely on powered rails taken from mineshaft chests. Same goes for farming resources, why even farm when you can mine 3,000+ ores per play session?).
Also, they still drop their contents, just as a normal chest drops a chest and its contents, or how boats used to drop planks and sticks instead of themselves, or how a zombie that picked up armor and weapons will drop them independently of its own drops (which may be nothing); all that changed was the drop from the entity itself. I can only imagine they did this because some people found it convenient to not have to recraft them.
i don't know how i qualify myself. never been to the nether, like to change worlds as soon as a new version comes out. play lot on thr beta versions but now i am playing standard 1.19.10 on xbox one. the world i have now is very interesting. spawned in ice and snow with no trees and i don't use the chest to start so i had to find a place. i'm playing hard mode so the polar bears are a problem when they have a cub also. that was in minecraft preview. i got some wood, dug into the snow and made a home. there is a town near but haven't stole anything yet from them. i dug down to 14, got iron and dug down to -39 and found a mineshaft. that mineshaft was incredible and found 8 rail chests and two chests by a spawner.
i decided then to switch back to regular minecraft, version 1.19.10. found the key for the preview, 4555815317740323764, and tried it. same spawn in hard mode in ice on a mountain. went and made a home in regular trees and no ice close to the area with the place for the mineshaft. then went and made home at same place where the mineshaft was. strange now, the mineshaft was at +39 instead of -39. both mineshafts have not had any enemies except for the green slime. don't know why that is yet. havent explored much but found 4 rail chests and a spawner with two spiders with not much exploring the mineshaft yet. i am keeping track of the locations with the chests and leaving them unless i find seeds and then i have a place for seeds at the base above. have some chickens there for food also. i don't know how to compare the world to TMC's world but seems to be fun so far.
About this from de new update:
You just craft a new one. It's not like they're extremely expensive...
i jus use them as is. i have to put a piece of rail before i put the cart/chest there. outdoors it is funny because an animal can move it.
Wait wait, so what happens to the stuff inside it? Does it pop out? Does it just disappear? Is it saved inside like a shulker box?
????

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
